At least one source has said this will be the best draft for LBers ever. No one has said it will be the best draft for QBs. Please, dear god, don't let the Jets screw it up again.
You were actually right when you said that. I just saw it on NFL Network, the Changers pick 16th unless they make the Super Bowl. Go Chargers! Win the AFC and we go down a spot in the draft. I actually believed you, you just made a bunch of BS up. Not sure where the heck you got that from, my guess is your head, but the above poster was right. Chargers pick 16, unless they make the Super Bowl. I just saw it on NFL Network.
As a matter of fact the Pats draft number 24 unless the Changers make the Super Bowl then they would draft 23. It dosnt exactly sound right, but I was believing what Jets n Boys told me, which was total BS. It makes things some what interesting, if the Chargers make the Super Bowl we drop down a spot to 16.
Read my above post. Jets n Boys just pulled that out of his ass. The Chargers pick 16th unless they make the Super Bowl. Then they would pick 31/32.
From what I have seen from watching drafts, once you get out of the top 5 (and usually there is like 3 "must have" players) you are probably better off picking from 15 to 20 as you are from 5 to 10 when you figure in the extra salary costs.
A team that makes the playoffs can indeed pick before other teams. It is a bit confusing because the rule states that a team that makes the playoffs cannot pick before a team with the same record that did not make the playoffs. The key here is with the same record. We had a better record than SD, so we will pick after (17th). But all the other 8 and 8 teams that did not make the playoffs will pick before SD, regardless of strength of schedule. So, Houston, who finished 8 and 8 but had a higher strength of schedule than SD, will pick before SD. This of course assumes SD does not make the Super Bowl, in which case they will pick either last or second to last, and we move up one spot.
