What does that mean? Just b/c SL won the WS doesn't mean the NL was the best, w/ that logic I guess the NL Central(a div won by a team that won 83 games) was the best division in baseball? The AL was the far superior league last year, b/c SL got on a fluky roll in October doesn't change that.

    Something tells me that during you didn't think the AL was better in '91, '92, '93, '96, '98, '99, '00, '02, '04 and '05.

Yup, must be ARod holding the opposition to 2-3 runs a night. Must also be ARod scoring 10 runs a night all by himself. Must also be ARod purchasing all the tickets to sell out the Stadium every home game.

Yup, it's ARod leading the bandwagoners.

The AL was so overrated last year and that was proven by the fact that the so called inferior NL won the WS and also had the next best team in MLB in the Mets.

Even though the NL won the WS, it doesn't matter. What matters is who wins a Tampa Bay vs the Reds interleague series in May.

I don't even think it is debateable, how can anyone justify saying the AL was better when the so called best team in the AL gets destroyed by a NL team when it matters most.

It was so overrated last year yet the AL dominated the NL in IL play so what did that make the NL?

Yeah a fluke series in october determines who the best league is:rofl: so I take it you have thought the AL was better in most years since 1991 as the AL has dominated the WS?

You know all about "Flukes in October". Your whole lame ass tradition is based on it.

Championships only count if the Yankees are involved I guess?

You ignored my question about past best leagues? Did you consider the AL better in '91'92, '93, '96, '98, '99, '00, '02, '04, '05?

I also take it you think the NL Central was much better than the NL East last year, right? the central team did win the NL so the Central must have been the best division, right?

Flukes in October- see 1969, 1986. In a 3 year span from '98-'00 the Yankees have more titles than the Mets in their pthetic 40+ year history.

When the NL led by a difference of 1 WS win? That's meaningless, I take it you think the AL has been the completely dominant league since we have doubled the NL's titles since 1991? Based on your logic that the Champ guarantees his league is better then the AL has been vastly superior for almost 20 years now.

So you think the AL has been better than the NL 4 times this decade and 10 of 15 since 1991?

What is so difficult about it? You think the NL was better last year b/c the NL Champ won the WS, did you/do you think the AL has been better 10 of the last 15 years since the AL has won 10 of the last 15 WS?

The World Series Champion is the pinnacle of the sport in a given season.

Funny how a Yankee fan wouldn't understand that.

For that TEAM, not for it's league or division.

Once again you avoid the question. I know your answer, I know you idn't thin the AL was best in all of those years- you never think the AL is better but SL's fluke WS is the only glimmer of hope you hae to save some face or the NL after it was crushed by the AL last year.

    Let's recap:

-The AL was 154-98 against the NL

-Only ONE NL team ahd a winning record against the AL(SF 8-7)

-The great New York Metropolitans who dominated the NL were just 6-9 against the AL.

-Just ONE NL team won 90 games last year while 5 AL teams did.

-Just 5 AL teams won fewer than 80 games last year while 9 in the NL did.

yep the Nl was clearly better.:drunk:

junc it's funny how you tailor the whole who wins the championship equals whose the better league/conference etc argument to suit the argument your trying to make, even if it means contadicting yourself over and over....i mean I've seen you take opposing stands on this issue again and again in baseball threads, hooops, football you name it.....silly....

I may gave to start calling you Hillary
