You must be happy about that, no??? Good angle, probably like I have now in sec 225. Just a touch higher, and it didn't cost you an arm and a leg. I'd be very excited if I were you...CONGRATS!

Section 342 is happy. It could have been much worse. Four weeks ago I thought I'd be in Row 26 somewhere in the corner, so yeah, this is on the 50YL side of the section and close to the tunnel to get in and out. It's also the side I wanted to be on.

Congrats. You deserve it. You scouted and planned this better than a CIA operative. How many feet, inches from a waterless urinal? LOL

Considering you chose 3 weeks after I did, you're in great shape. You'd probably prefer yours over mine anyhow since I took "crossbar" seats. I think I'll start writing down what everyone has so I can pay a visit at select half times in 2010.

Thanks very much guys. Yeah, I am relieved. It's the closest thing to what my own individual criteria was. This was my gameplan, again, you guys coming up behind me won't necesarily have the same plan, but this is what worked for me. My thought process may be helpful to others:

    1) Visitor's side still has slightly better seat selection left than the Jets side does. For some reason, more people are migrating toward the Jets side. It makes no difference to me. In fact, I've been on the visitor's side all my life practically, and love looking at the Jets bench with my binoculars sometimes. You're looking at the players' faces, not their backs. Jets side of the field has little extra value for me because of this (after all, we're not at a HS football game, where it matters). I chose to go with the better seats left as opposed to ranking "Jets side" high on my priorities.

    2) The visitor's side is the "shady" side, but not really (this is a misnomer), because at 1PM, the sun will still be there, it'll just be on your back instead of on your chest. But as the sun goes down in the West, I did not want to be on the Jets side and be looking into the sun. Nothing is more annoying to me than to sit there in the late afternoon sun and have to put your hand up to your forehead to keep from being blinded. Binoculars work better when viewing with the sun to your back also. Well, in my case, my portable Hubble Space Telescope.

    3) The visitor's side is on the West side and that is where I want to park my vehicle. I need to get to the TPKE South and pronto. This stadium is so humungously monstrous that I did not want to be sitting on the East side (Jets side) and walking 1/2 mile just to get to the other side of the stadium and THEN have to trek from there to my car parked near Rte 3 and the artery that leads to the TPK South. And it made no sense to walk and drive north to get to the TPKE, only to get on heading south and fight the same traffic I just pulled away from. The aerial view was a great help in determining this strategy. If you look at that photo, you can clearly anticipate some congestion on the North and East side of the new stadium because the Racetrack is over there as well as IZOD. These two huge complexes take up lots of room over there (to the N and E). So, if the non-PSL parking is generally further out and you come out that side, you've got to walk around those two obstacles to get to your car, which may wind up being considerably further away. Not so with the SW side of the new stadium. The only obstacle there is the current stadium and that will be torn down and become parking, so I anticipate that the non-PSL parking areas to the SW will be closer to the new building than the SE or East parking areas will be (again, because of those two other monstrosities). Lot Y did NOT appeal to me as an option whatsoever. The entire parking/exit ramp situation is going to change, but in essence, there are already toll plazas and major arteries leading to the 16W exchange which I am sure they will tap into. They are not about to route southbound traffic north (and vice-versa), at least I would hope not. Again, it made no sense to head in any other direction than South if that's my overall direction anyway, but this cecsion was an easy one for me since you have those rather large obstacles taking up otherwise valuable parking real estate to the East and NE. I will now be able to dump out of the stadium via the escalator at the 50 and be on the ground in no time flat and be able to beeline to my car which will only be parked 14 miles away.

Bottom line is, I am now closer to the 50 than I was before, only in the Upper deck at Row 16 instead of Row 5 in the Mezz. I could have been closer to the 50 still, but at Row 25 or Row 26 in Sections 337 or 340. With these seats we're close to the tunnel at Row 16 to make bathroom trips with the grandkids a little easier than schlepping down from Row 25 or so.

    Could have had the following:

    Section 337, Row 25, Seats 10-13.
Section 336, Row 21, but all the way over toward 335
Section 335, Row 15, but again, more toward 334.
Could also have had four on the aisle four more rows up (Row 20) in my new Section, but chose these because they are still very close to the aisle and more toward the 50.

I'm ready with questions if anyone has any. Good luck to anyone else behind me!

My current seats are $120 and my new seats are $105. In 2010 I'm saving $60 per game or a total of $600 for that season over what I paid in 2009.

Also, for 2010, the savings to drop from the Upper Primes to the Upper Sidelines is $20, but after that, the savings to drop from the Upper Sidelines to the Upper End Zone is only $10:

    Upper Primes: $125
Upper Sidelines: $105 (best Upper value, IMO)
    Upper End Zones: $95

Errata: Correction as per 17a - Primes are $125, not $120.

Great info...thanks. I'm just waiting for the "UPPER DECK SOLD OUT" sign on the seating chart. Glad to see the real fans are in the house at least...

Take a very good look at this aerial photo. I even dragged it into Photoshop and then enlarged it to fill my 24" monitor. This photo is looking NNW (almost due north).

I need to park my vehicle on the left side of this picture in order to have best access to the TNPKE South. I currently park in 16, the lot to the far left just below the Stadium Club parking lot. But it makes sense to park out to the left for other reasons also, namely, that you're not dealing with the Racetrack, the IZOD bulding, and the (waterever thehell that monstrosity snow-slide thingy is) to the south of the stadium. My point is, avoid that stuff if you can, and if you are going to have to head south anyway, it's a no brainer to stay TF away from it altogether.

I know that the current parking lot configuration will all change and the Jets are not committing to telling everyone where the non-PSL designated parkiing will be, but it just makes sense that if you are heading south anyway, you want to be on the West side of the new stadium and be able to get to the escalators at about the 50YL inside the stadium and get the hell out to the west side. From there you've got it made... walk to your car (however far away it will be) and then get on the ramp heading south (not seen in the picture because it would be to the far left) and jump on the TPKE south at 16W.

You're right, good one. So there's a $20 difference from Primes to Sidelines.

17a, thanks, BTW, for giving me that heads up about what you had been told the day before about 342. It caused me to ask him about it, and while Row 14 was gone (at least for 4 it was), two rows up was still available, so after reviewing the other options (which were worse) I jumped on that section and row.

I have to get to the escalator at the 50 either way, so it made no difference to me whether I was on the north side of the 50 or the south side... still the same walking distance.

Thanks again for the heads up... I probably wouldn't have asked for him to look at it.

Thanks. No "tenants' for me, Rudd, I actually use my tickets. I think the Uppers and the non-PSL parking areas are gonna tailgate like no tomorrow and rock like hell because it's all the transplants who refused to pay the PSL.

They're probably putting us all out beyond the "preferred" parking areas because they know we're into tailgating and to make it easier for the PSL people to go and do what they want to do... which is hang out in the 'Clubs," spend $200 per couple over the bar and enjoy the five-star "experience".

Meanwhile, the Upper Deck people will be outside grillin' and chillin' and gettin' down, throwin' some footballs around, sipping on Coronas and laughing like hell at the idiots who are still making payments on the exorbitant PSL bullshit.

And what are they going to do to shut this down, send out the "Tailgate Police" to put a damper on the tailgating out there? How long do you want to pay beaucoup bucks to enforce something that won't be very practical to enforce and how many security people do you want to throw at that "problem?" You cannot stop someone from parking their car and lingering near the vehicle. And you probably can't stop someone from having a sandwich or from opening up their trunk. So one thing will ead to another out there and before long, the grilles will be back in action and the whole tailgate thing will be in full swing again.

Meanwhile, I could actually see more of an emphasis on cracking down on tailgating in the "premium" parking areas, because, after all, this is the money base, the PSL people, who are supposed to be inside drinking Absolute and Tonic with a twist of lime at $9.50 a pop, or sipping cheap, shitty tasting house Chardonnay at $7 a half-glass.

The Upper Decks are going to be a lot of fun with a lot of people who all have one thing in common, they avoided the PSLs and didn't have to pay for a stadium that never should have been borne on the fanbase to begin with and which was originally and falsely sold to the public as a "cost-saving shared" stadium.

314 is right about one thing... Woody didn't have to do this... he could have charged a PSL in the Uppers like the Giants did, but while this is a plus for Woody, in my eyes it makes him only slightly less culpable than Mara and Tisch, who should both rot in hell for ever getting both teams into this in the first place.

Game 1 2010 will be a ton of fun in that lot, even if it is in the town of Rutherford. Congrats on the seats. I don't like it when any Jets fan is displaced.

We're only talking 15 months from now.

Hey, how great would it be to have our first home playoff game that first season in the new stadium? Man, talk about a party in the parking lot! I wouldn't be caught dead inside one of Woody's "club lounges." No thanks, I don't care if it's a blizzard outside.
