b/c those exits didnt look sophisticated. has anyone else notice all the $$$ and technology that went into those little led light s on the side of the stadium that dont work? u know the led lights that where gonna change from green to blue.but instead the use spotlights now. why are those lights not used.
The louvers look like shit. The whole look has always reminded me of raw, unfinished construction. But I was never concerned about appearances, even sitting in "Giants Stadium" with blue and red surroundings. Couldn't care less. It's about the views when you go to a game, not appearances. And it's about getting in and out without hassles. Giants Stadium had both. Fuck the amenities and lounges... never needed them in the first place, but whatever. As long as we keep on winning I'm happy. I can sit in the bleachers at Linden High's Athletic Field and watch the black and orange scoreboard for all I care, just as long as I can watch the game live. All the other crap impresses me not.
THE OTHER STUFF IS Fluff----they dont get it ! All most people care about is the product on the field and the game. If I wanted to watch a JUMBOTRON I would not purchase Jet Tickets and I would just watch it in my mancave . The Led lights were a nice thought from blue to green but again like most of the rest of the design they ROOB GOLD BERGED IT!
Are those lites U mentioned going to GUARANTEE us all wins @ Met Life if they are installed. If not then why should U or anybody care when all that matters is what happens on the field? :jets:
i hate to say this but gillette stadium is really nice. not the fans, pats, food, beer, cops that dont like a drunk santa. the place is huge, anywhere you go you dont miss a min of the game. if you sit high up in the uppers its a good view. the lower side line is awsome. 12 rows and up are the best view. anything lower than 12 is good but all you see is players when the ball is at the yard line you are sitting on, yes its cool to see them that close but when i go to a game i want to see the game. i want to bring my son to a game in 2 years at metlife but all i read is horror storys about it. i dont want him to hate it because he cant see anything. i went to giants stadium three time 2 jets games and 1 giants game. loved every second of it. my son will be 6 at the time. do they got a non drinking section? if they do is it in the uppers or do the got a few of them? the price of tickets i wont worry about its 2 years to save up. what is it going to cost for the wife my son and myself to go to the game? any help would be greatly appreciated.
there is an alcohol-free section in the Mezzanine B. It is pretty far up but still better than any seat in the Upper deck. The best seats (non-club) area for being able to see the game the way you want to see it and give your son a great experience are in the Lower Level or Mezzanine A level--- Higher rows in the lower level and lower rows in the Mezzanine A. You can probably score low row Mezz A seats or LL endzone or corner tickets for less than an arm and a leg. Lower Level as you get closer to midfield will be expensive
Upper deck between the 30's no higher then row 10 are good seats. Its not worth spending the big bucks. Plus the people in the Upper deck are down to earth and will you and your family feel at home, not like you are at a board meeting. Very family friendly unless its a night game.... like tonight.
IF your kid does not have a long attention span or is distracted easily---NO WAY SIT UPSTAIRS because he will lose interest fast as you just cannot see. I have 2 boys that I bring and the big guy has always loved going to all the games, baseball , football, hockey, loves em all-----first words outta his mouth when he took the tour / sat in our seats " Dad we are really high " . When I had seasons in this new place I was in the 20 th row sec 342----seats upsatairs are way too high -setback too far and do NOT ENHANCE the game day experience at all. Also the steps are beyond steep so if you plan on making trips to the bathrooms/ concessions/ anywhere with your kids or grandpa be prepared to worry everytime you have to walk down those aisles as I said they are STEEP. On a more serious note if you have a fear of flying the uppers might help you get over your phobia as the Helicopters and Airplanes fly very very near and I know several people that actually got over their fear of flying just by sitting in the uppers at METLIFE STADIUM.
"IF your kid does not have a long attention span or is distracted easily" Hey SG3 the above statement could easily apply to you---but then again you might be a kid or an older gentleman:rofl: if you want to meet for that beer or sodapop today I would love to buy, I am sitting 149 where are you sitting buddy ? If you get there late I would be happy to buy at halftime just give me the section and seat # as I said my treat ----I am not threatening you in any way I am just curious to see what a walking piece of crap looks like :shit: enjoy the game all
I saw them Alleycat and thanks for the gigle after that debacle I witnessed tonight I needed the laugh. Put this somewhere else if you feel it belongs elsewhere but I need to say one or 2 things. First off the Stadium was no where near as loud as it should have been . Love him or hate him , they put Fireman Ed on the screen begging people to make noise and this in no way was anywhere near the TOP ten loudest games that I ever attended--crowd was ok but it is just a different crowd nowadays. There was a point when I swear the only people standing and screaming for OUR DEF ( in the second qtr) was me and my kid . Now maybe someone can help me with this---I am at a loss for words---we were in row 33---and I am dead honest when I say 3 qtrs of my row was pats fans in JERSEYS rooting for Pats---it gets worse--->the ENTIRE ROW behind me row 34 was entirely Pats fans! Every single seat! It gets worse---row 32 in front of me was also 3 qtrs Pat fans! It was like being at an away game---my kid said " I felt like we were the enemy " unreal! Anyone who wants to tell me that this place is sold out---I guess they can explain the oceans of Pat fans at this game and in my section. I also met 2 EX reps tonite, we had a long conversation with them along with a beer and some tailgate food and they basically apologized for what they were "told" to tell us during the tours and phone calls. They confirmed what many of us already knew. ps the team laid an egg tonight and lost out on a big chance to make a statement and change the landscape but it was groundhog day again for us:shit:
