I guess maybe I give my CC number and instead of charging now and mailing check as in past years, they only charge as we go?

    Glad you're back dude.

I'm going to wait and see what the invoice is like that they're mailing out. I figure I've got until Dec 22 to pay it, so maybe I'll just wait a while and then pay.

I want to make damn sure I specify a REFUND if the games aren't played. There's always the slight possibility I may find a cheap stray PSL resale after March and I want the flexibility to just cancel my Uppers completely. I don't know what I'm doing yet with my two sets of 4. I sure as hell don't need 8 seats though.

So in case they jerk me around with the refund, I want to make sure they give me my money back and my account is zeroed out, because then I can start from scratch if I want to.

Besides, by now I'm kinda sick of the Jets holding my money, so I'm in no hurry to pay. Too many disappointments and a lot less for the amount we're all giving them, IMO. I'm gonna let things play out after this season and see what happens, so I'm not anxious to have them holding my money anymore.

According to the email they are giving you the option to give your credit card and it's charged only for the games played. I haven't received the paper invoice and we know how things go with the Jets.

    Glad to be back..

I just called and spoke with Katie at the tix office to double check but here is the deal:

They hold your CC info and as we get each game, they take the payment.

This way they are not holding our money and do not have to send refund checks as in past years.

It's good Karma to pay, so pay up!!

I always pay as soon as they come and choose the option to go to next years bill.

By paying now it shows that we are confident we'll be hosting the AFC championship game.

Interesting concept. I still haven't paid yet, but I'll consider this theory ; )

i am sure there is nothing the jets would like to do more than to sit on some money and let it collect interest. i know i wouldnt let them sit on it. so the whole cc charged when it has to be sounds like a pretty good idea!

LOL... I was right behind you dude. I was so ready to pull the trigger it wasn't funny. Had my credit card in one hand and the phone in the other. Then the rug pulled out from under me and I slipped back into my SOJs funk.

You should be banned again for calling me Champ. Name-calling is against the rules.

There is only one Champ around here and they broke the mold when he put on his first Jets cap.

No they wouldn't - the interest they could earn in 45 days wouldn't pay for all the postage and labor needed to refund checks to 80,000 fans.

you may be right and i am not going to do the math... but if you pay in december and then apply it to next years tickets they are sitting on it for 6 months and dont have to do anything but collect interest.

i was talking more about those who apply to next year rather than receive a refund which will surely cost them a little bit of money.

Hopefully the ushers today are going to be poorly staffed, we sold our seats b/c my buddy had to work and I didn't want to go by myself and sit in the rain.

Today, I changed my mind and picked up a seat in a good lower sideline section and a green parking pass for under $100 combined. I kept looking for good seats in covered LLEZ or Mezz B sections, but no luck. Maybe I can sneak into the cheap seats?
