I did. It doesn't make sense that the # of escalators would increase from the current 24 to 38 in the new Stadium, but would not go to the Upper Deck. I had a call into my PSL guy and he assured me that they will go to the UD, same as now. I also called my brother-in-law's sister, who works for SKANSKA, the construction company....she also informed me that there will definitely be escalators to the UD. Lots of things to complain about with this new stadium...but the escalators are not one of them.
hopefully they put a net up to catch them all as they jump i didnt realize that shame about the escalators. that is a complete fucking shame. even if i were going to try and stick up for these douchebags i dont think i could find any possible reason for that. that is the most obnoxious thing yet of all the shit eating things they have pulled from the psls to the you cant walk around the stadium, to the tiered parking to the you MUST decide now. to the you must pay 1/2 of your non psl price now...... it just keeps on coming. somebody needs to put a buckwheats hit out on woody! ok now that i see the last post i guess i can retract my post.... nah fuck that its still complete and total bullshit. i am a little disappointed that there isnt absolute for sure information coming out about this though. i know if i were 50 years old and my date was tomorrow i would want to know for absolutely sure.... the buckwheats hit still stands!
I am one of those that got season tickets off the wait list in 84 when they moved to the new stadium. I was told by my rep that there are 3000 accounts with 1977 seniority and 6500 total accounts with seniority greater than mine. This would imply that there are 2500 accounts between somewhere in 1981 and somewhere in 1985.
It's all shrowed in secrecy, of course. No one is demanding full disclosure because they know they have no right to expect it nor will it ever be disclosed by Woody. Anyone before 1984 is probably safe, the rest of us (I'm 1985) will be in trouble. It'll be intersting to see if any of the media pick up on the shenanigans around June or July. I'd love to see some exposure on this. "25-year Vietnam Veteran Season Ticketholder Who Watched His Last Superbowl Before Serving His Country And Who Has Personally Attended Every Game Since Gets Cast Aside In The New Stadium." Lovely fucking press, Woody.
Then my guess would be you were not looking at the Upper Deck escalators. The construction company says they are there..so I'll go with that.
I will e-mail my friend and verify, he also works for Skanska. I could have sworn he said no. I hope I am wrong for the old guys but I am sure we discussed and I saw where it ended and remebering him tell me that its for PSL owners it ends at the Mezz.
I hear what you are saying 314...I am relaying what I have been told. I would be surprised...but you could be right. My opinion, though, is I cannot wrap my mind around the idea of a $1.3 or $1.5 or $1.7 billion (seems to go up a couple of hundred million dollars every time someone writes about it...amazing) dollar Stadium not having escalators to the top level. Woody, Mara and Tisch would have to be PR idiots to spend so much $ on extravagance and to cut corners on the basics. I suppose we will find out soon enough.
Thanks for that interesting news if 314 info is correct & the average is 3.5 tix per account then that equates to 22,750 seats meaning that will leave 4,250 left for the ones with 84 seniority since the UD max is 27,000 seats
I really think U R running on emotion then common sense. U said that there 4,000 accounts thru 80 & the average was 3.5 seats per acoount that would equate to 14,000 seats taken now you have the 81s 82s & 83s before U get to the big year of 84. Lets not even discuss what 81,82 & 83 will eat up in seats & just concentrate on 84. Fact #1 from 84 we know that there was a boost of 20,000 seats from the move from Shea to the M/lands. Fact #2 there was a large turn over of seats that year because of the exodus of all those loyal LIers who decided to become unloyal when they had a drive a bit to see them team. I would venture a guess that another 10,000 seats changed hands that year. Now lets do some math UD max 27,000 seats Known seats already taken per ur post 14,000 " Sub total 13,000 seats remaining Figuring 30,000 new seats having been bought in 84 & NOT counting 81,82 or 83 means that there is shortage of 17,000 seats WITHOUT counting 81,82 & 83 I would certainly agree with U that in the past 25 years there was some erosion in the fan base but surely not to the tune of 30,000 seats so I will stick with my estimate that 84 will be the final cutoff for the non PSL UD seats
I'm staking my $$$$$ on ur info. Sounds totally stupid on the team part to force there fans to trek up to the UD especially in the case of the NYGs who supposedly have a far older fan base then the NYJs
I would not go off the deep end of the pool yet concerning the escalators since in the ultimate end U will find there are escalators up to the UD. As for all the rest of it is being done by the year U became a season tix holder. Myself I am ACTUALLY 65 but because supposedly the NYJ lost the early records I was assigned a 77 status. Then after they determined ur seniority then decided ur rank in the pecking the order. The primo LD & mezz seats choose 1st & then so on & so forth. As a example 17A date for choosing was 05/06 whereas mine was 05/12. Now that meant in the NYJ way of thinking his seats in the old stadium were more primo then mine were. There was no taking into account my start year of 65 vs 17A start year as both of us were lumped into the 77 year catagory. Just a question here if U owned the team what procedure would you use that U think would be fair to the season tix holders? This same sought of whinning being done here was done in Philly when there new stadium opened up & the primo seat owners evicted those in the cheaper seats so they could pay a lower PSL or no PSL whatsoever
OK if U think so many who can attain a non PSL seat will instead want to give Woody 4Gs or more for a PSL per seat. Sorry I will still stick with my estimate & based on the upcoming #s that latest cutoff date will be 84. Lets C ur date is 05/29 I would suspect that U R going to snatch as many of those non PSL UD seats that U R entitled to right? As I posted this is exactly what occurred in Philly. Maybe in looking back at it for Woody it would have been better to not have a non PSL deck then all the fans would be more/less in the same boat. Just think when U secure those non PSL seats ur counterpart on the NYGs is paying his team a PSL for the exact same seat. In my case the NYGs PSL fee was 5Gs per seat.
Sorry I am giving U real total reason IMHO. Sorry if U do not wish to take a step back an analyze most carefully what I am saying.
got mine yesterday. lower level goal line jets bench first row. spread the psl out for 15yrs. SIIICCCKKKK!!!!
Champion69 is having a conversation with himself. 6 out of the last 9 psots have been his. I wonder why
YOZERS! Steep price...but if you got what you want, and you're happy, that's all that matters. Did you think about trying to negotiate at all the price of the PSL?? Just wondering...
