I wish I had a front row seat to those banishments.

By front I mean row 1 of course.

    2011 PSL Speculation

With so much speculation on unsold PSLs, have people considered this?

If you're on the fence about a PSL or maybe already have upper level seats, might it just be worth your while to wait a year and buy the "used" PSLs in the secondary market?

Let's say everything goes wrong in 2010 - Jets still have lots of unsold PSLs, Jets have a terrible year in 2010, strike is looming strong for 2011, etc.....
Once the one year freeze on PSL resales has expired, might there be a bunch of used PSLs being resold by people who have changed their mind, lost their job, been disappointed by the team, or have not paid most of their PSL payments and just don't want to invest any more money, etc?

Might we be able to find a $7.5K or a $5k on the market for $2K-3K in 2011? Maybe for those not ready to invest today, its worth the risk of waiting a year? Or, am I misinterpreting the rule or do you think the resale market will be non-existent?

This whole PSL market is so different than some of those teams that had great demand for PSLs (like Pittsburgh) and the value has sky rocketed.

It doesn't matter how much the PSLs are because the tickets are over priced and include 2 worthless games. I'll buy a 10K PSL today if the ticket price is $85 for 8 regular season games

its gonna be fun to send in that psl payment if there is a lockout.... wow talk about a kick in the balls. they will probably get everyone even if there is a lockout as the seasons need to be paid by april 15 this year... probably april 1 next year.

Lockout or no lockout the PSL still has to be paid off, at least if there's a lockout we won't have the ticket bill too.

That's not good for us as fans but easier on the wallet.

This is way toooooo funnnnyy. I am banned from insidejets for life for trash talking PSLs. Now every time someone badmouths a PSL they think rowonejet fan is once again using an alias to bash the jets. The can't fanthom someone other than me would bash Jets.

I am actually pro PSL. But and a big but in any given section around 1/3 of seats are a good value, 1/3 of section is fully priced and 1/3 of section is over priced. SAR on the other site brags he bought four on aisle in row one in a Mezz a corner right by EW Club. You know what 16k for four seats with $1,600 down is a pretty good deal in row one in corner. However, 16k for four seats in Mezz B in middle of section behind goal posts under drip line where drunks in row one upper deck spill beer on your head is a seat from hell yet same price as SARs almight corner front row mezz seats.

Those who believe Jets will sell at full price horrible seats, the last 10-20% are nuts.

That said row one in LGL by 15K seats on aisle is a screaming bargain at 7.5k a seat and a $125 ticket price is a scraming bargain. Last few rows 15k by 7.5K seats are insanely over priced. Heck on Jets side that is no top exit entrance os you are trapped up there. Any seats within few of aisle in LL EX corners, TC or LGL are also a good deal. Problem is we all cant sit in first 3/4 of rows in section and within six seats of higher priced section.

I think in the end since Jets are famously saying no more PSL price cuts I would not be suprised they so something like in 15k to 30K PSLs they do a deal put 20% down and buy a PSL at full price get free season tickets and parking for one year and do super low interest on PSL. THat way they don't have to retroactive reduce PSL prices.

I guess things are slow at his desk at stubhub and there is a need to spread false information here to try and pass the time.

The stadium holds roughly 80000 seats. 60 percent sold would mean that the the total amount of seats occupied is 48,000. If we assume that all 27000 upper deck non PSL seats are occupied that means that the Jets have only sold 21000 seats out of the remaining 53000 seats in the bulding. Amazingly JI posters have bought more than 400 of these 21,000 seats and thus the 200 or so posters on this message board now represent about 2 percent of the entire stadium PSL and club seats

Of course, this simple mathematical exercise proves the falsity of the stuff spread by ROWF JOTW in the last few days but will that stop him even when he is banned for the third time?

    doubtful

That would suck paying for a portion of your PSL in 2011 with no games the whole year. That would piss me off so much. If those SOB's strike and don't play any football for the entire year, which probably won't happen, it would kill the NFL popularity.

I agree that it would suck but I do not agree that it would kill the popularity of the NFL.

It would just be another long, painful off season (extended slightly) for me.

Baseball was different. When the baseball players went on strike a lot of the old baseball fans gave up on baseball, maybe that would happen with the NFL but personally I don't think so.

It is not solely on the players, the owners are a major part of this problem...

Relax, if they strike or there is a lockout we'll get replacement games!

I just can't see a season being interrupted, I don't even want to think about it.

    Hahahahahaaa....

Can you imagine paying $30,000 for 4 PSLs, mailing in your check for $16,000 for the tickets ($400 x 4 x 10 games), and then going to the stadium, only to watch former Mexican-American Linden High School star QB Mark Juarez passing the ball to Montclair State standout Gaywood Edwards?

Pissed off isn't even close! LOL

It makes no difference for the PSL owner. Either way the thing has to be paid off, games or no games. 5 years is still 5 years no matter how you slice it.

The Giants tried that last year when Aaron Rouse replaced Aaron Ross.

Makes no difference to the PSL owner? Are you serious? Suppose the guy paid cash? Then he mails in his $16,000 on top of that because now he's obligated to.

Oh well, maybe you're right, it may not make any difference to the PSL owner. There are always the "amenities," which is maybe why he's there in the first place anyway. I guess you can always go to the game and have a couple of martinis and a steak dinner. Not much else is any different. There's still a little football going on outside the restaurant window.

Called my sources and here is what they have for decent seats in lower bowl as of today.

    5k PSL - Lower Endzone - Section 124 row 10 6k PSL - 144 row 15 seats 13-15 6k PSL - 144 row 28, 7 seats from 143 7.5k PSL - 143 row 25 11 seats in from 142 15K PSL - 110, row 6 seats 5-7, five seats in from 109 15k PSL - 110 row 22, seats on the aisle of 111a

First ten rows of $6K or $7.5K sections sold out. Except for those two seats in 142 first ten rows of LL EZ also sold out.

However, in 15k, they have a couple of scattered 2 seat locations in section 135 and 142 in first ten rows and on Jets side only those three seats in row 6 left in first ten rows. Most aisle seats in 15K is sold out.

Sounds like with a decent amount of seats sold in 15k they will not do a price reduction in PSL price as that would be retroactive to everyone in area. Maybe free parking, one year free season tickets or zero % interest to sell last 20% of seats.

20K section on Jets side and GHC will need a price reduction. 20K and a $150 ticket and 25K with a $600 ticket is nuts. There are already people with buyers remorse renting seats in Coaches Club at a loss which is a better location, you get to go to Press Conference and it is on sunny side. If I were rich I would just rent a seat over there in secondary. Also even if I were rich the most I could ever see spending is 15k with a $140 ticket price on the aisle by 20K section, that is 30 yard line. Moving over one seat for 5k more and ten bucks a ticket serves no purpose.

Plus damm CBS camerman keeps plopping his big camera on sideline on 50 yard line and blocks view. My 40 yard sideline tickets were better than 50 yard sideline tickets as the CBS guy was not blocking my sight all the time.

    Your "sources" are always wrong-

You do know voices in your head are not sources. I can see why every other Jets site banned you. (fake news)

LOL Are those two actual local players? Good job ; )

I've attended a Jets replacement game. Who else can make that claim? If I recall there were two. Dallas, and Miami. My brother and I went to the Dallas game. Remember, this was in the days of "reasonable" ticket prices. I can't believe we paid, but I guess we did. It could not have been free. A ticket was probably $25 per game then. I can't remember if they gave refunds to season ticket holders for these games...

We were the only two people in the entire lower end zone in the 4th quarter so we stood right between the uprights for the TV cameras on the extra points and FG's. We taped the game for that reason and had a laugh over the stupid things we did for each kick.

The other thing I remember was meeting Onzy Elam (Onzy!) outside the gate. He and another striking player were there signing autographs. Yes, the Jets had a player named Onzy Elam. They also had one named Admiral Dewey Larry, though I don't know if he was there that day.

Anyway, the PSL payment during a strike or lockout had not occurred to me until this thread. Talk about major suckage. Glad I don't have to worry about that at least.

Replacement games are great for taking little kids to. They don't know who's on the field and could care less anyway. You leave at halftime and tell them the Jets won and you get a big High-Five from them and the day was a success.

Now, if you spent $1600 for that game, inside you're probably seething.
