R u kidding me? Neither the Jets nor the Giants did the "right" thing. There was NOTHING WRONG with the "old" GS. The new stadium was a way for both teams to increase revenues and profits (club seats, suites and higher ticket prices). And on top of that, they figured that they only have to pay for part of the building cost. The fans would pay for a good part of it through PSLs. Very clever. Unfortunately for the Jets, they did not have as a wealthy fan base as the Giants so they over-estimated demand on the PSLs and now have to apply bandaids after bandaids to get the place sold out before next season. Wake up. They lowered prices because of the empty seats not because they want to do RowOneJetFan a favor.
You will have the opportunity to upgrade seats if you choose but you can stay where you are. Anyone in good UD seat will not move. But somone in row 26 UD dead center who is buying a PSL soley cause they hate that seat may end up in a lower row corner.
I woke up this morning realizing what today would have been like if the Jets had only won that game in Indy. I was going to go on StubHub and buy those two tix I had my eye on, or any other tix I had to get, just to have them. Then I was going to reserve my flight for tomorrow out of either Newark on Jet Blue or out of Atlantic City on Spirit Air. Probably AC. Then I was going to rent a car and get a motel reservation. Today I would have been going freaking nuts, because of this snow storm. I can picture Newark Airport tomorrow morning, with all the cancellations, and AC Airport even worse with 24" and all Spirit Air flights cancelled, and here you are with 16,000 other people all dressed in green and white looking for a flight down to Fort Liquordale. I told my wife, if it had come to that, you take off work today, becasue we're getting in the freaking car and we're driving. I'd probably be on I-95 in Virginia about now...probably get a room in Rocky Mount, NC, then head on into Fort Liqiuordale sometime tomorrow. It would still have been worth it, dammit. Oh, for a couple of TDs in that fucking 4th quarter! I'd be on the road right now.
17a, hardy-har, I got a voice mail from Randy someone yesterday saying, hey, you're paying $125 per ticket with no PSL for Shitsville on the 50 in the nosebleed section that made your Daddy roll in his grave, well, do I have a deal for you! $125 per ticket behind the goal post with a PSL of $800 in change per year with other sections down there available (of course he leaves out the PSL price and the interest)! Then he brandishes his message by saying he loves MY message on my house voice mail (everything says GO JETS!, what else). I'll be calling this goon out of curiosity. And remember: "The rollback on the ticket price in that section can't be missed! It just came out today, and will only last two days! We're getting flooded with phone calls! Don't miss out!" So I'm actually wondering in my brainbox if it's on the 30 yd line, I might play hard ball. Will post results.
Just curious did anyone move to the new corner goal line seats, 6k or 7.5k? ALso I looked back in time and lots of people bought LL EZ pretty far back. for 5k when they thought goal line was 10K, wonder if anyone moved over from there or junky UD EZ seats.
I moved down the lower end-zone 134 section, 25 rows up. I've seen some scary pictures of rail obstructions from the lower (not prime) rows of the upper deck. Was a long skeptic on the PSLs, but here is the point that pushed me over the edge: A $7500 PSL is basically a $31 surcharge per regular season game. If the Jets offered me non-PSL seats in 134 for $156 per game, would I have taken them? 100% yes, without blinking. And with normal ticket inflation, that $30 per game will be less and less as a % of the total over the course of the stadium's life.
http://www.newjetsstadium.com/seating-chart.html Section 134 is "Lower Goal Line:" PSL CLUB SEATS PSL 5-Year Plan Annual Payment* 15-Year Plan Annual Payment* Ticket Price/Game Lower Goal Line $7,500 $1,356 $649 $140 $125 ** Lower Goal Line $7,500 $1,525 $730 $140 $125 **10% Deposit Option (All other seating locations require 20% deposit)
has anyone actually been in an UD EZ corner around row 20 to compare it to touchdown corners that just opened up. A row 5 touchdown corner vs. a row 20 UD EZ corner that is perfectly lined up. I wonder what the distance in feet back there. is. There is like 65 rows distance and with no overhanges that is 65 rows back and two levels up. WOnder if anyone went on tour and sat in both Also wonder if those touchdown corners will sell out like corners did in Mezz
Got ANOTHER card from the JETS "We want you back" I'll come back when I can have my old seats in the endzone for $100 and no PSL
I moved from section 131, Row 30 aisle, to section 134, Row 22. I sat in 128, Row 30 this year and was willing to pay to essentially have my same seats. This photo is a decent approximation of the UD corners (318ish), mid rows... jets134.com/images/DSC02823.jpg And here is the 7.5k section 134... jets134.com/images/section134.jpg
Fixed that for you, Ozu: This photo is a decent approximation of the UD corners (318ish), mid rows... And here is the 7.5k section 134...
Wow, you know what is interesting about that UD Corner shot is you can't see the lower level at all from where that was taking around row 20. That is kinda of weird.
