There never were cheap seats for the Jets and for most teams in the NFL. In baseball, one game is so insignificant that $20 for uppers or $14 for bleachers isn't that cheap. When the Yanks plays Red Sox, the tickets cost much much more and those "cheap" seats are hard to get. You will probably have to pay more than $95 for those "cheap" seats at Yankee Stadium.

That's why I locked myself into a 20 game plan. I get some lousy games and some good ones but I'm just happy to watch the game. I have 4 tickets so I sold 2 from the last Boston series got $65 a ticket could have held out longer and got $80 but I was happy to take the cash and run. There are plenty of football teams with some "cheap" seats. $95 doesn't qualify as cheap but then again you haven't had to pay real bills yet.

Check them in the fall. The sun is still high in the sky these days and won't give you a true perception of the angles between 1PM and 7PM until you look at them in the Autumn sunlight. The trajectory (the arc) is lower then and you'll better appreciate having the sun to your back.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Please re-read my post, I never said $95 was cheap. You can't complain about the Jets $95 per game tickets without complaining about what you have to pay for crappy seats at a baseball ballpark. A NFL season has 16 games, a MLB season has 162 games. One MLB game is so insignificant compared to one NFL game.

Also, who are you to say I haven't had to pay real bills yet. You don't know me...

Not sure if you guys watched the Giants game last night against Carolina, but it's a good reference point. The Giants played a meaningless preseason game on a Monday night during a heatwave, and the place was almost sold out. The Jets unveiled their brand new QB Friday night and played in front of what looked like 10,000 at best. The Giants have demand for preseason games and cannot sell out the new stadium...You are SCREWED Woody.

The Giants had 45,000 at the game, 50K tops. They always draw more then us. This is not news. More stupid Woody bashing.

Let's see its summer the Jets played on Friday night the Giants on Monday night - which would you rather go to. Most people have plans on the weekends during the summer - Monday nights not so much. And I was there Friday night ( yeah I don't have a life:smile:) , but Id say we had about 30,000 at least around halftime. After that it emptyied out pretty quickly.

Why do we keep wanting to comapre the Giants to the Jets . The only similiarities are they play in the same stadium. Otherwise they have different fan bases , different ticket prices/plans. What the Giants do as far as sales has no relevance to what the Jets do .

That attendance number is wrong... has to be. There is no way there were 75,000 people at that game. Just about every seat in the stadium would have to be filled.

I think the "attendance" figure is the number of tickets that were sold for that game. The number is so high because the Jets force season ticketholders to buy the preseason games. But there is no way in hell that was the attendance.

The Jets already opened up the entire upper bowl for the people who doesn't want to pay PSLs. The Lower level is pretty much the same as the Giants except for the coach's club. There are only 11,000 non-club seats in the lower level.

Again with the Giants, what they do has no relevance to what the Jets do period. They shared the costs to build a stadium , they will play in the same stadium and that's where it ends . Comparing the Jets and Giants ticket prices is like comapring the Jets to any other NFL team , they are completely independent organizations with they're own polices. In their current role as owners to Jets tenants there is a relevance , but come 2010 that's gone.

It will matter in November if the Jets sell out. Giants fans should have their seat locatoins by November and will then be allowed to visit the stadium and sit in their seats. If they do not like them they can then give up their seats.

We all agree that the sightlines in this stadium are awful. If Giants fans start to post or talk to Jets fans about what locations have awful views if the Jets try to sell them and someone has a heads up from a Giants fan that a certain location has an awful view then they're really in trouble.
