im good for those 1 or 2 a year. i was pretty sloushed for the home opener. this might be another b/c i promised myself i wouldnt get fall down drunk for the last game till the tailgate after the game.
typical jets fans here we are in the middle of the playoff hunt and all the fanbase cares about is their tailgate and how fucked up they are gonna get on sunday. you bitches better be in your seats on time and be loud all game no passing out in your seat before halftime, no leaving at the end of the 3rd to beat the traffic.
I'm always late and sometimes too fucked up to make noise, like the Jacksonville game. Oh god the Jacksonville game--did we win that one? Anyway, got a problem with that? Come and find me, I tailgate in 17A and I look just like Jeremy Piven. Come and settle it like a man dude.
sorry dude im stationed with the Marines in Japan getting ready to deploy to Afghan so its too far of a trip although id love to come and kick your ass.
There's a thread about everything on here, this one is about tailgating. Food was mostly talked about, and I never said I'm going in late. I'm in 15 minutes early every F'n game for 20+ years. Who the fuck are you to come in here and act like your king Jet fan????
When you get out we'll set something up. Soldier on man, and thank you for your service. Take care over there.
if you are a tailgater who gets to the seat on time good on you, before I moved I went to every game, and saw tailgaters every game get fucked up, eat a shitton of food, and waltz into their seats 15 minutes late if you dont acknowledge that the majority of tailgaters are their for their own party and the game is secondary, you are lying to yourself. this team has a shitty home field advantage year after year, it can be partly attributed to ssharing the stadium but also its the fact that the seats are fucking empty when the game starts im not saying dont have a good time, im saying the team needs fans cheering them on, not drunks passed out in the parking lot at kickoff
I'm with you on that- I hate when guys come into the game and have one eye opened and are cursing at kids and can't remember what happened two minutes prior. What's the point if you can't remember the damn game-
It does depend on the game, too. I was kidding earlier, but the end of 2007, the Cleveland and KC games? Yeah, the tailgate was much more interesting than the game. Watching Kellen Clemens throw incompletions in the cold rain and eventually knocking off Herm's horrible Chiefs--in OT of all things--to climb to 4-12. Good fucking thing I had whiskey and weed there.
Hot toddies this week. Apple Cider, cinnamon, served hot topped off with Jamesons. Keep ya warm on a cold December morn.
this thread is about my tailgate which includes drinking eating and drinking. and i never pass out at a game.and who leaves early to beat the traffic?? oh right the non drinkers.drinkers stay till its over then drink some more in the parking lot. oh i will be loud dont you worry soldier. god bless and carry on
Actually, its been better this year, but yeah, its pathetic. I love the newbies that get to the lot at 11:45 and start there little hibachi's to cook their pre-made burgers on Wonder bread hamburger rolls. I want to kick their Hibachi's over and tell them you are here to watch a game, go in and eat that crappy sausage sandwiches and next time get here at 9:00 like the rest of us. I leave the lot at 12:20 and hang on the ramp for 10 min. before the introductions. Better early then late
i tailgate right near my seats now.im in my seat within 20 minutes of leaving my tailgate. it used to take me at least 35-40 minutes where i used to tailgate.
This team does have shitty homefield advantage, but at least we aren't like the Colts who pump loudness into their stadium through the speakers on a big third down play or something (remember reading about that a few years back). Also, if I do recall correctly, wasn't week 2 against New England extremely loud? Let's get up for this game and send Ryan back to Atlanta with a loss. Thank you for your services and god bless.
