I think it depends also on the motives of the journalists, since all of them feel the need to give their version of reality as it pertains to what level of animosity they feel towards their subject.

I haven't read much of Berger in the past couple of years, but I know Cimini has been lacing agenda on the Jets a lot this off-season. It could be two guys putting opposite polar spins on a performance that was in reality an average outing for a rookie QB.

I want to hear more about Clemmons, our Ol and Schlegel.

Man, I wish I was back up north to visit camp. I miss those days.

I can't wait to order The NFL Ticket on Direct TV !

At least with the NFL Network on Direct TV now, people like you and I can watch the preseason games (albeit delayed most times). It'll be good to see with our own eyes how the team is performing game to game in the preseason.

MM, great job, great pics, Petro. I was there on Friday, and was impressed by Clemens. I'll go tomorrow, and on Tuesday, should hook up with 227, Kurt and 1028 on Tuesday.

Clemens will be up and down.... that's what rooks , especially QB's will do.

MM, yeah, I had a full tear rotator cuff repair, and my right arm is longer than the left.... but I think it was before the surgery!

Seeing 3 sessions in a row should give me a much better feel for things. Ah.... it's football time again!

180? That's a steal... It's 209.99, but I'm all signed up. I even give up golf on Sundays to watch all the games.

You're going to pay more than that if you want it in HD. The bastards turned the HD channels off last season without warning (it used to be free) and started charging for it. It's at least 100 more - can't remember for sure.

Sunday Ticket is the greatest invention ever though.

If you can not goto the game, and had to goto a bar you would spend $40 a week..or $640 a season

NFL Ticket is awesome, though a bit expensive. Good to Tivo the games, too, and rewatch the wins. You easily spend as much going to a bar all 16 weeks if you're out of town.

I have three or four games a season that I keep saved and watch once in a while during the offseason. I still have the 2003 game vs. Oakland when the Jets came back and won in overtime. It's the game where Oakland blew a tackle on Santana and ended up propelling him toward the endzone for a 60-yd. TD. It's also the game where Oakland began the game with like 23 straight running plays because they didn't respect Teddy C.'s run defense.

I also have the '04 game vs. Miami on Monday Night, Chad's last game before wrecking his shoulder up in Buffalo the following week. Who new what impending doom was to follow the following week!

It was 49.00 last year, but I moaned and bitched loud enough that they gave me what amounted to 90.00 in credit toward my bill...

This year, it's supposed to be 99, but I have a 49.00 coupon already, and I'm waiting for my moan and bitch call, as I hear it's much easier this year, if you contact the right people (and have a high "heart" rating) to get the fee waived. I do not have DirecTVs new dish yet, and they keep wanting to upgrade me, so I'll leverage that to get it for free among other things.

It's just that I only realy want it for the Jets games because I can get enough games on the sattellite that all the other good ones will be on any ways....and then with the new scheduling so that the best games will be on normal cable in primetime, I'm not sure what I can really get with Sunday ticket that I can't get without it....except the Jets games...

Thats the thing...my strategy if I go to a bar is to get so hammered the night before the game that my stomach can barely handle water and coffee, let alone beer or food.....so I recover from my hangover at the bar with a couple coffees and a jug or 2 of water, watch the game and get out of there for like 8 bucks...

I'm not ready to discount Clemmons' performance based on one pass. Kerry Rhodes made a hell of a play on that pick too. It was very acrobatic. The rest of the day, Kellen was fine, that's why I figured he had a pretty good day.

Petro or MisterMoss...have you taken notice of who else, other than the main 5 guys, has been getting reps on the O-line? Particularly Steve Morley?

And how is Brad Smith coming along at WR...you think he's a keeper or a guy that looks like he can make the transition?

I was able to get the HD package for free this year. Around draft time, DirecTV sent me an email saying if I signed up for the Sunday Ticket that weekend, I would get the "Super Fan" package (whatever they call it) for free. It was a nice little bonus.

    Petro/MM/T'Bird

Are they using alot of 2 TE sets and are they using any TEs as fullbacks?

Does Brad Smith look OK? He out of all the draft is the one that intrigues me the most.

Thanks for all the great reports and pictures. Much appreciated.

Wish I could get NFL sunday ticket
