The last 2 weeks? Darnold's play the previous two years gave me hope the NYJ would draft him. April, 2017: http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/peterman-in-the-3rd.88379/page-2#post-3566282 .
Remember when Darnold used to have a long release? Remember when Darnold used to have fumbling problems? He erased 2 huge flaws from college in one year, while adapting to a new league. So psyched to see what aspect of his game he decides to work on this offseason and fixes for next year.
Why is that only some of the British posters know who Bosch is? What a bunch of lame asses around here. On the other hand, in the game thread vs. the Bills I think K'OB said what sort of mummery is this? I love that word; but it was also then that I realized that sometimes when English people speak English I find I don't understand English anymore. I remember the first time I heard someone say, "I'm knackered." "What the fukk are you talking about?"
Maybe, he had a bad day but has been great this year. Kickers are a strange beast. If he bounces back next week I’m fine with retaining him.
Darnold has turned the corner. He's playing with smarts, confidence, passion. The kid learns very very quickly. He just needs help
Nice, but I have to say that your post is definitely not the highlight of that thread - some of the comments relating to Peterman, Gruden, Hackenberg, and Mahomes are truly hysterically funny with the benefit of hindsight. Nice job by Chucky in particular.
Thanks joe. Darnold getting high praise from 2 great pass rushers gives me hope about the future. I hope Jets don't screw up the new Head Coach decision. Turning point of the franchise is this off season.
Wasn't referring to it as such; just that I watched the Pac - 12 in general and the QBs in particular (Darnold, Rosen, Falk, Browning, etc.) via a TV package and wanted Darnold well before he even began his final year at SC. The Peterman comments in particular were off the wall. .
I still worry about the foot. Saw Sam limping several times after scrambles. He's 21 but his foot needs time to heal. Offseason can't come soon enough.
If 20 apples fall off a tree into a pile of shit, you can be 100% correct in picking the cleanest, best-tasting apple out of the shit. But I still wouldn't eat it. Now there MIGHT be an apple that somehow avoided falling into the shit pile, but just because we don't find one doesn't mean we missed it. It's a huge pile of shit.
and we know sam is going to be shoulder deep in film all offseason. look at the jump after 3 weeks of relaxing and watching, now imagine what he will learn with 8 months to review.
And about to enter his first real offseason, hopefully with an upgraded offensive minded head coach. Cannot wait for April, new unis and the draft with actually legit hope for the future.
