I'm good with Gholston, now we got some solid DE bookends or we move move Gholston back to LB. If we hadn't taken him NE would have. NE couldn't have gotten too much for the trade from the Saints
That's why the Pats are better than us. We should have made that deal with the Saints & taken the extra pick(s) and the CB we wanted.

We should have traded with the Saints, Rodgers-Cromartie + an extra pick (2nd?) is worth more than Gholston.

I think we just couldn't get the deal done, Pats have been at the trading down scenario forever, they are experts at it.
He's gonna be a GREAT player. If Belichick wants somebody (and it seems like they do) we did the right thing. He was the BPA anyway.
