if he doesn’t know any routes he’s not going to play. It sounds like he is a big work in progress

it’s kind of a shame because a good player like Gipson or Malik Taylor is going to be cut so Corley can have a roster spot, but doesn’t play

First play of #Jets 11v11 teams is a nice looking Breece rush with Ruckert playing a key part in the scheme. Did his job nicely. Second play is a Clark INT. Ball wasn’t perfect (high), but it didn’t get on the WR quick enough to excuse it. Lazard with the tough drop, pops in air into Clark’s arms. Later, Leki with the penetration (great get-off) to beat Leki (potential TFL on Braelon).

If I’m Nick Bawden, I’m doing everything I can to get back as quick as possible. He still has a ways to go, but there might be something there with Lincoln Sefcik as a TE/FB/H-back. #Jets Again, a long way to go, as Bawden’s still the clear guy, but it’s something to monitor for sure. And yes, this is the first full-padded practice (for those wondering).

#Jets 11v11s: Rodgers finds Conklin on a common TE path (quick concept), then finds Garrett in space, another quick one while understanding the perfect concept was called against that coverage. Big RAC potential. Malachi Corley gets into the mix on a designed one (Tyrod). Tarik also snags one from Tyrod. Nice little action by Peasley on a completion to Irv, Very quick, but the QB understood what he was looking at pre-snap.

After a bad/high shotgun snap (Tippmann), Aaron Rodgers goes down after taking the under-center snap (the dreaded “OL stepping on the QB’s foot” play). AR gets up HOT, guilty frustrated, as hey, that’s close to the Achilles. Couldn’t tell if it was the center or LG whose foot was the culprit (Tippman or Simpson, I assume). I share then misfires uncharacteristically to Malik on the nexts play. Offense is hurting right now. #Jets

Rodgers is clapping after that last positive play, seemingly wanting to get his offense in the groove here, get some positive vibes. AR hit GW on a 1v1 route vs Reed. Great route, getting Reed to turn. Next play, another bad snap from Tippmann (flutters high), AR throws it away (Ruckert). Then, a pattern hits home as AR uncharacteristically misfire badly. Tough day for the offense in the fundamental sense (killing themselves). Something retesting happens, Aaron Rodgers becomes frustrated, and then AR compounds it was just the next play. #Jets Tippmann is now working on shotgun snaps off the side, with the second team on the field.

A lot of guys were very high on this pick--they're not GM's and their opinion is fine. But JD is the one who traded up for this pick and it should be under discussion if it was a good use of resources--maybe too early tho.

Too early? Ya think?? Lol. It's July 28th. Today is LITERALLY the first padded practice of his career.

Time will tell, for sure. But this idea that he has to "redshirt" or the pick was a waste odds completely asinine.
I liked the pick at the time. Kid has potential to be a good slot receiver down the road and can definitely contribute on designed plays early.
