Someone mentioned that QB1 show on netflix that he's featured in. I binge watched it the other day and came awa impressed. Fields is a solid kid with a great family. I don't predict anything off the field or in between his ears being an issue. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
They aren't the same type of prospects or QB's. USC hasn't ever had any good QB's come out of that program? Neat.
As we've discussed otherwise too, Haskins is an anomaly and Fields isn't a typical run-first OSU quarterback recruit. He's an SEC quarterback that ended up at Ohio State. Not knocking your guys but they're usually runners. The same people complaining about the numerous touchdowns Fields throws to open receivers dismisses the ones Lawrence throws versus teams like Wake Forest.
Who saw Fields sprinting after the play and ending up the lead blocker downfield there? Obviously not ideal to keep him healthy, but shows a lot about his personality.
I think he'll be a mid-to-late 2nd at worst, especially if he keeps running like he is right now the rest of the game tonight and vs Alabama if OSU beats Clemson.
Good Semi Pro game going on right now NFL owners are lucky they don't have to fund a Minor League system
When has an OSU quarterback outside of Haskins been drafted and regarded highly? USC churns out first round busts. OSU churns out guys happy to be drafted. They're not busts - they just aren't built for the NFL.
I posted this a few weeks ago about this subject: https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/sanfran-shanny-sams-new-home.94626/#post-3996258
They haven't... One more time. Fields is the BEST QB prospect they have ever had. Basing your determination on a player in the NFL based on the program they came from, isn't ideal. It's lazy.
