I'm pretty sure Rex is never coming back to the Jets so if you're waiting for that to happen, you're really gonna be a unhappyjetsfan. The team puts 48 on the board and you're not happy. The Kid plays a composed game on MNF no less and you're not happy. ST's of all units actually shows up and you're not happy. Yanno what? Nothing will ever make you happy so why do you bother being an unhappyjetsfan? I'm gonna guess you don't make your living being an unhappyjetsfan so I just don't get the motivation. Hell, even Champ doesn't show up when the team plays well but you? You show up to rain on everyone's parade come hell or high water. I'm done with this and I'm an original darksider. Gee, I don't know. He made a couple of good points, a bunch of bad ones and a few that were just ridiculous. But his timing was asinine - he could have waited a day or a week. What he did not do was attack anyone or even stir up a small rebellion; most of us just let it go like polluted water under the bridge. I'm concerned that this is the second time in a week that there has been a discussion of kicking someone out for voicing an unpopular opinion, even if done respectfully.
Was one of the most complete football games I’ve seen the Jets play in 10 years. Lions are not that bad, either. Stafford did look terrible. Let’s give credit to the d though.

Before the game the Lions who went 9-7 last year were considered a playoff caliber team, with the Jets 7 point underdogs. Then the game happened and 3 hours later it’s clear the miserable Lions might be an 0-16 team this year and the Jets might not be any good, the Lions are just atrocious. Gotta love week 1!
Trying not to get too high on this game, despite how amazing it was. I've seen Jets QB's have good games, and ultimately burn me. Having said that, Darnold looks different. I see so much Aaron Rodgers in him, its tough to not get super excited.
That's the exact comparison that came to mind when I saw him vs Atlanta in the first preseason game when he rolled out and directed Charles Johnson to the corner for his TD pass.

This was more about a culmination of posts instead of a single post. Some posters have the good manners to let people actually enjoy a win and some don't. Those posters usually come around after a loss but not after wins. Some posters just love to be miserable and make sure everyone on earth knows it. Having been here for a very long time, I agree on all accounts. I’ve always found those guys pretty easy to ignore. Hell, there’s even an “ignore” button if I remember correctly. My hope is that if/when Darnold hits a rough patch, the “Darnold is a bust” type threads that have no substance or logic behind them are met with a swift end. All they do it piss people off and clutter up the board.
Oh god I dread this day. It’s going to be “we should have taken Rosen, we should have never given up picks, we should have kept Teddy, blah blah blah blah”. I usually find the darksiders funny because they don’t realize how bad they come off but the Darnold subject is going to bother me because of the “dumb” potential. It’s it’s EXTREMELY high.
How about some positivity.... As bad as Stafford appeared last night and the lion's are looking terrible he is a known proven QB with top flight receivers especially in Golden Tate. We kept them in check for the most part. Secondly as much as Darnold looked good last night he is only going to become more comfortable and gain more chemistry with his receivers. Looking forward to his progression. I tried to be as positive as possible as this thread should be
You and I both know that day is coming Mo.. Might as well get ready for it. Those days usually happen after a bad loss though so hopefully, they'll be few and far between.
