I mean, Macc did say something to the effect of not needing to invest high draft picks into the OL because mid round picks would be sufficient. He needs to change that line of thought if he wants Darnold to become the FQB we've been waiting so long for.
Exactly, and out of those 12 how many were needed? A lot. Trumaine Johnson (1A). Buster Skrine (Nickel). Morris Claiborne (1B). Jamal Adams (SS). Marcie Maye (FS). Two stand out backup Safeties in Terrence Brooks and Doug Middleton. And two young CB's in former 4th rounder and 3rd year CB out of the ACC & N.C State in Juston Burris and a 6th round rookie pick in Parry Nickerson who just tied two others for 2018's fastest 40-yard dash (@ 4.32 seconds) alongside of Denzel Ward out of The, Ohio State (4.32) and Donte Jackson out of the SEC & LSU (4.32) Those right there were 9 players alone. It's hard to complain about the remaining 3 other players once you consider the fact that within a secondary it features 3rd string CB and FS/SS position(s) as well. We're only carrying two QB's and 0 FB's, no? Which means we can load up on other positions such as RB/WR/D-Line. So lets just face it if you're down to backup 3rd string QB's and 3rd string O-Linemen your season was over before it began to begin with...so why not load up @ other interchangeable positions of choice?
Yes no doubt. He seems like one of those guys who gets the yips catching easy passes but when he has to go up and get a tough one he's able to do it. Braylon Edwards (while miles ahead of Perriman) was always one I remember would drop easy throws and make insane catches. Plaxico Burress to an extent too.
Here's how it works: Some NFL kickers hit the wall (Mike Vanderjagt); others don't (Adam Vinatieri). Teams do not cut kickers who are still performing at an elite level. Bailey's been very sketchy the past two years.. .
Last season he was legitimately injured. The season before that he was 27/32 overall and 24/26 between 18-49 yards. That's not indicative of any kind of drop-off.

He's dropped nearly 20% on FGs the last two years (93 to 84 to 75) - that's alarming even giving him a health-related mulligan. Further, while stats don't always tell the story, the Dallas staff who watch him day in and day out are going to have a much better handle on this. Moreover, his PAT % dropped as well. Nick Folk went the free agent route and signed with Tampa Bay. Then he went on to 'hit the wall' on MNF vs. NE. He's now an unemployed free agent. .
Not upset just yet..Let's give the GM till midweek to give SD a decent wall in front of him Just had a scary thought ..dont we play the Bears??? Guess who THEY just signed
If it means anything to anyone, my cousin in Denver was upset yesterday that the Broncos cut his favorite training camp running back yesterday, Deangelo Henderson. He just told me that we signed him to our practice squad. He’s pissed Denver let him go.
Working out? You don’t work out the second most accurate kicker in NFL history, you just sign him. Get it done Macc.
The key word there is history - if he's still that good, why did the Cowboys cut him? Not saying he isn't worth checking out, but don't get your hopes up.
Jets hosted Jeremiah attochau (sp) de/olb from San Diego. Seems mac is being very deliberate about setting up the roster
'tell you what: in the Nick Folk spirit if things, I'll give Bailey a mulligan. In the case of Folk (hip surgery) it took an addition year to be fully healed. In the case of Bailey it was a less severe injury (groin pull) so maybe (maybe) he can turn back time in 2018. .
