I know you're being sarcastic but in regards to INT's, they'll come for Adams; especially with an improved pass rush in front of him. Was never a big INT guy while with LSU but imo there's no question about it, his ball skills are there and do come natural for him. At the end of the day, his NFL rookie year numbers were better & more impressive that any season he had with LSU. And from a 6th overall draft pick you can not ask for anything more than that.
I hope you are right as a fan. But it also sounds like he is not only the first male cheerleader but also the assistant GM. Yes he had a decent rookie year...no doubt...but all of us who want to see improved play can't be wrong. I think he is and was overrated coming out of college. It does me no good being critical of Jets players but there are trades(Mack) that may take bait and i wouldnt mind using JA.or giving him up.
your opinion ----> "He was overrated coming out of college" --- so the first year in the NFL he makes the All Rookie team? Makes sense.....
Guys, please.....the guy knows talent. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/the-new-york-jets-select.88444/page-4#post-3568956 He's also full of shit...lol
Oh, I'm sure he will. But, but, but if the first interception is in practice against Sam what then? Will we be hating both of them?
I too preferred Watson over Adams, but I'm very happy we got Sam Darnold this year. Bottom line, it's time for Jamal Adams to to start cashing those checks his mouth has been writing. I'm hoping he has a stellar 2nd year for the Jets and becomes our defensive - game changing leader on the field.
Aiso...i never said he was a bad player but what has he won? High school...no...College...no. So what winning culture has he experienced to come in and take credit for changing the team's culture? Again...as a fan it does me no good to see him fail...but i like Curtis Martin type guys, Chrebet, Pennington...play at a high level, speak when necessary, and when you speak people listen because of your production and humility. Those 3 showed appropriate emotion on the field and was always known to conduct themselves well off the field. I hope Martin and other respected former players pitch in and help guide these guys.
Don't read much or don't comprehend? There have been plenty of articles mentioning how well he's played so far.
of all the players out there last night you pick jamal adams to call out on a fan site? sounds like troll action if you ask me.
From what I saw he was great in the box held contain and made an especially great play on the runner to blow up the whole play.... It was outstanding and smart. Didn't see him give anything in the pass game and flashed a couple times especially on that play. He's a vocal leader and our secondary is going to be tough this year.
So I'll,ask you. What did Pennington ever win? CMartin, what did he win? At Pitt? In NE? Jets? How about Chrebet? Love that you picked people you assume are different who won nothing after accusing Adams of having won nothing.
He's a total hypocrite. Brings up the fact that he never won it all with LSU. Despite him being one of those most respected and feared SEC defender's within the conference. I never knew you had to be a championship winner on an NCAA level in order to be considered a leader; if that's the case Andrew Luck, Sam Darnold, Leonard Williams, Khalil Mack & countless others can never and will never become NFL Franchise leaders. Pundits. Who make no sense. As if an All-Rookie team selection and a top 5 Defensive Rookie of the Year wasn't a "good enough" start to his ROOKIE campaign. Pundits.
