It's possible the Cards had better QB play in 15 (Palmer 16 games) than they did in 14 (split between Palmer, Stanton and some dub). When the offense plays well, the defense is not on the field as often... giving up fewer yards. 50 yards is one possession these days, and it didn't have to end in a score. It could also be Cromartie was the difference maker, if all were going on is yardage.

When Bowles was there, the Cardinals lost a bunch of guys on defense and had a crappy offense for a lot of the year and was still really solid. The defense kept them in games. To say they got better when Bowles left isn't necessarily true, especially when he was responsible for providing that very foundation the Cardinals defense stands on today.
So you still did not understand my question, and you did not answer it. What is the difference between the offenses? Big Ben was very stubborn as I pointed out previously, but now Haley and Big Ben are best friends. Haley is responsible for Big Ben getting to another level in terms of quarterbacking and prolonged Big Ben's career. In terms of personnel again, with Arians they had a lot of weapons on offense. The offensive line with Haley hasn't been able to stay healthy, the top 5 RB is barely on the field for 16 games a yr. So the personnel argument holds 0 weight here.
