Revisionist history. I loved Cotch but he wanted out for one reason and one reason only. Money. He was relegated to third WR after they signed Plax and he felt he wasn't going to get his next big contract if he saw even fewer throws his way. And he was just coming off of back surgery. Had nothing to do team chemistry or me-first guys or wanting to play for a team first atmosphere. He wanted to be the number two so that the next year he could score big. And that 2011 year was going to allow him to strike it rich. And I also recall some noise from his wife about him being disrespected when they were pursuing Mason which would have pushed him further down on the depth chart. As big as a dick as Rex was, most everyone loved playing for him. It's hogwash to think he left nearly $2mm on the table because of team chemistry. _
In terms of rooting for someone to get a ring (or two) before going out in style it's Manning (2), Ware and Smith vs Cotchery, Davis and Allen. Of this group I'm probably rooting for the Panthers. Kind of sucks to root for Cortland Finnegan... Hate the guy...
