we would have to go with a WR or RT/OL in the second if we got a pass rusher in the first..I could also seeing us move up for Sanu if he starts to fall in the second..

Rex has stated the need for a pass rusher. Upshaw is probably the best OLB in the draft, he isn't a polished pass rusher. I can see the Jets taking two early like they took two Dline with the first two picks lasty year.
The Rd 2 pick falls under the hierarchy of needs crossed with availability when the pick is called. I would like any of: Doug Martin, RB, Boise State David Wilson, RB, Virginia Tech Alshon Jeffrey, WR, South Carolina Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech Cordy Glenn, OT/OG, Georgia Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State Ronnell Lewis, OLB, Oklahoma (I like him only because he could end up being either an ILB or OLB, but is more likely to become an OLB). Nick Perry, OLB, USC (Doubt he falls) Andre Branch, OLB, Clemson Shea McClellin, OLB, Boise State Markelle Martin, FS, Oklahoma State Harrison Smith, FS/SS, Notre Dame Personally I'd wait until Rd 3 to take a FS and hope that Trumaine Johnson, FS/CB, Montana, is available, thereby leaving Rd 2 to draft an OLB, RB, WR, or RT.
I wouldn't be upset about Harrison smith in the second...he might even be off the board . Glenn would be great in the second....massie might be there in the third though Rex also probably got a good look at the north Carolina WR who is 6'4 and projected second day

The FO has hinted that we won't be going OL in the first 2, probably 3 rounds. Unless someone notable slides on draft day I see us using our first two picks on skill players (pass rush, S, WR)... after that, anything could happen. History suggests that it's easier to find solid linemen in the middle rounds than impact skill players.
This list is perfect. You have to imagine that a few of these guys will be available. I agree with you that round 2 is probably too early for a safety, though. If we draft a LB/DE in round 1, we need to go offense in the 2nd. Martin, Adams, Glenn, or Jeffery in round 2 would be amazing.
Ridiculous. Did they see our o-line kill Sanchez last year? we need to build up trenches before we bring in skill players. If you can't block skill players a fn useless.

Big fan of Martin. He runs low, he has good lean, and he hits his top speed pretty quickly. He's not in that elite Lamar Miller class, but he seems like a very balanced back. -X-
If jeffery falls to us in the 2nd i think it would be hard to pass on him but the safety smith from ND would be a nice grab too

And Chris was also on UF's National Championship Track Team. IMOHO, That Oregon RB, even going against weaker LAC 10 defenses, is not the player that Chris Rainey is. While I doubt that he could be an 'every down' NFL RB, he is so versatile with all that he can do that he would be worthwhile to any team that already has a big primary RB. (WR/KR/PT/ST's) If he's still there late in the 2nd or in the 3rd, I'd take him as a pretty good gamble. If he's still there in the 4th round, he would be an absolute STEAL! PS Bonus - Tebow and Rainey are already familiar with each other..... Chris also played on the Lakeland Florida HS Team that won B-2-B USA-Today HS NC's.
