Since the 1st moment i've said it.... This is a TannyWood production. Woody orders it, Tanny gets it done.....no matter what.
Omg anyone who thinks this is a good move. is just the tebow fans. because we just got about 5 millions fake jets fans. this entire offseason is over. thats what we spent our money on. even if he does only play 4 plays a game. its not a smart move. I have aways supported Rex and Mike T. but this new offensive cordinator. i DONT LIKE.
Another day in the life of Haters As per usual the haters are spewing their venom without knowing all the facts. The trade was contingent on the Jets reviewing the contract, there was never a trade, there was an agreement in place, once they saw the contract they raised the issue, it is not about the Jets it is about Denver not disclosing the information.
Relax monkey. Before Denver tried to slip in the 5 million clause without the Jets noticing this trade would have cost us 1.2 million. 1.2 million for someone to play wildcat and take carries away from Greene is a good value. Its the media that comes with him thats annoying but I understand why they would want it. Not to mention the leadership/intangibles Tebow can bring to a team.
Again you show how to neglect facts and continue the retardedness when its pretty clear that Broncos asked for $5mil AFTER the trade agreement.
Bill Polian was on NFL Live and he said it's up to the team receiving the player to figure out the terms of the contract, and that they can read all the contracts on the NFL's website. But he also said that these contracts are so complicated that sometimes it's hard to figure out just what they entail.
Totally agree Nick. I'm a Jets fan living in Denver and I can't wait until the circus leaves town. You can imagine my dismay when the circus was scheduled to visit my team. Tebow is a great guy but after Sanchez's first incompletion we will start to hear the first Tebow chants. Tebow was actually behind Brady Quinn on the depth chart but because of the fans he was put in when Orton was benched. We don't need that, our QB is fragile enough as it is.
What? Where the fuck did you get that gem from? Out of your ass where are you others come from? This is a standard recapture clause that can be found in any NFL contract when advances are made on future years earnings. They advanced him money for 12, 13 and 14. They want it back and the contract says they are entitled to get it back. Maybe Tannenbaum should have read it before announcing it..obviously other teams did.
Schefter reported that Denver included the clause after they agreed in principle. Denver beats writer reported Jets never read contract. Another person on twitter said Jets read contract but missed clause first time. Whatever the reason, I am glad this trade did not go through. Hopefully JAX takes Tebow, and it will help them out if they get him
An "agreement in principle" is not a binding contract for trade purposes. Until both sides are comfortable with all of the details, there has been no meeting of the minds and neither side is bound by anything. That is the limbo state we are currently in. It's actually kind of fun, in a perverse, alternate reality sort of way.
