The only "madness" is what is spewing forth from your mouth. Your reaction is way over the top. Stop foaming at the mouth. You know NOTHING about this kid, yet you are ripping him apart. Get a grip on your ego. It's funny that most of us on another Jets' site think he's an excellent prospect, but I'm sure you don't care about that. How about the fact that the Jets are scouting him? Guess you know more than the Jets Scouting Dept., huh (or at least think you do)?

The link I just supplied has an article that interviews Hamilton. He was a walk on at Texas Tech, but was evidently getting some kind of financial help and as Hamilton tells it the coach (Rick Leach) couldn't afford to pay the kid any more. Just to show you what kind of questionable character he has. He didn't go back to Dallas and pout or get in trouble. He went back to a community college, didn't play sports and focused on academics so that he could stay eligible to play in his remaining years of eligibility. He sounds like a very humble, decent kid.

Limited skills my ass. That's your opinion.

The only way Upshaw would dominate at that level would be because he was bigger or stronger than the OL. He's certainly too slow and doesn't have half the quickess and agility this kid has.

Wasn't saying that. Just saying that Giants have a great pass rush. We need to start drafting pass rushers...we haven't drafted one since Gholston in 08.

Pardon me, Mrs. Hamilton, but I'm sure that even your son would understand that you're WAY OVER THE TOP beliefs about the young man are ridiculous.

    - The Jets FO is scouting him? OH SHIT, I must be wrong then. I know that teams only scout players they plan on spending their 1st round pick on. Well played, Aristotle.

    - Get a grip on my ego? No offense, but I'm just echoing the sentiments of everyone else that has an idea of what they're doing. Consider me the Greek chorus, merely informing you of your foolish ways.

    - Upshaw is "certainly too slow".... Yep, he's certainly too slow to be a gimmick DE in a heavy option league that has very little discernible NFL talent. While he might not have the quickness of that overgrown WR running around the OTs like they're fat, slow fire hydrants, the fact that he's, as you yourself just stated, "bigger and stronger" than the tackles Hamilton's facing is all you really need to know about competition.

    - "It's funny that most of us on another Jets' site think he's an excellent prospect, but I'm sure you don't care about that. " That's not funny, that actually make sense. For you to be so bold in your incredible misconception of the guy's skills, there would have to be even more misguided souls pushing you on.

I really don't see where this "Upshaw is too slow" thing comes from. He might not be the fastest dude in the world, but I've seen great closing speed from him when he gets close to making a tackle. Seems plenty fast enough from the tape I've watched.
