    yeah, that's pretty bad.

So Scott had 1.5 sacks last year, so that's 5.3 million/sack...

An inside linebacker is going to drop back and play safety?

Shefter also says a close source tells him Ray Lewis WILL NOT return to Baltimore. Doesn't expect Jets to sign him. Cool.

Unless we are drafting some safety or trading for one stud to put next to Rhodes(Unless Elam is seriously the answer.....) then I expect Scott to get some safety looks.

Boneheaded player but the dude is versatile.

he was used mostly in coverage. a coverage linebacker is something this defense needs very badly.

This is cogent and indisputable analysis.

Don't be idiotically disingenuous. If you want to criticize the contract, fine, but don't submit bullshit "ratios" that ignore what the player was actually asked to do last season.

Wow. You're setting a new bar for dumbfuckery on TGG, and that's really, really hard to do.

Well, I'd really like to know what makes him worth 8 million; and if my disingenuous ratio fosters that atmosphere, then I'd say it worked...

More importantly, he primarily was asked to play in coverage last season. It makes perfect sense when you consider what else the Ravens had at LB.

He?s not paid to be a sackmaster. Sacks are a bonus for ILBs.

You could have just asked the question and not been misleading about it, I suppose. Somehow I'm thinking that would have led to more honest discourse, no?

Ok first of all Leonhard is going to be signed from Baltimore, it is practically a done deal. He is going to play opposite Rhodes.

Yes he is versatile, to play ILB or OLB, maybe even drop into midrange/CB coverage to cover a TE or slot. But safety? You do realize how big Scott is right? And that he is an ILB right?
