Agreed. And why would anyone want to trade down, miss a potential franchise QB to draft two OL? IMO that's even dumber.
Totally flawed logic. If Idzik, Rex and his staff were locks to be back next year, I could understand your perspective. More than likely, that's not gonna happen. Thus, to decide you want to do something based on what has happened in the past is irrational and illogical.
Not an anomaly at all. He was really good in college. under the radar prospect tho. Only big question abt him was how he'd deal with his height in the nfl. Turned out to be a non-issue.
I meant an anomaly in just how freaking good he is. I don't think anyone saw that coming, least of all Seattle who had just signed Flynn to that massive contract. Definitely under the radar, I don't think he got anywhere near the exposure as say Garappolo. _
Back on topic tho. I was just thinking, Metty had OBJ, Jarvis Landry, and Jeremy Hill. They're all playing way better in the pros than anyone thought. Maybe it's Mettenberger just sucked more than we thought.

It's tough to predict those man, I thought he was going to be a lot better then freaking Kellen Clemens at the very least. I guess that one year of development with CC wasn't enough for Mettenberger.
Well unlike Mettenberger...Clemmens and his family was blessed by the pope. That's gotta count for something. 10 years in the NFL

no I know you weren't specifically calling anyone out. If I could only find the post where I said Idzicks drafts were horrible, and someone kept trying to tell me you need 3 years to evaluate the draft. Guy is nowhere to be found.
