    As I understand it, he's likely to be cut this offseason. What do you guys think about giving him a shot? He's got an arm, and can certainly take a hit. He might even come relatively cheap.

    because joe gibbs runs a qb-friendly offense. if he can't succeed under gibbs, he won't do anything for us. :sad:

    or how about Dan Marino or Doug Williams, they have experience.

    maybe now you see how silly an argument is when it is dependent solely on extremes.

    Patrick Ramsey would get a pass by me. He has a strong arm, has potential and has enough experience and could definately progress under Mangini. That being said, it doesn't mean that it's likely that he is cut and picked up by us or anything.

    Normally I'd agree with you there. But I really don't think Ramsey got a fair shot. Has he even started a game since Gibbs left?

    fair question. i don't think so. knowing gibbs, there has to be a good reason why. besides, our line is nowhere as good as thiers. bolly would much better suited to us than ramsey is.:wink:

    Bollinger = Ramsey

    Brooks couldn't get it done with Horn, Stallworth, Williams, and McAlister... why would he get it done here?

    Ramsey has better judgment, Bollinger has the legs. But it's a wash like you say. I think Bolly will learn on the job, and mature into a solid addition on the staff. Ramsey may be the kind of veteran that helps a shaky new offense. I just don't want to waste the money on Ramsey if he is another Fiedler on the Bench.

    Good analysis on Aaron Brooks. Hothead with bad decision-making ability and declining physical skills.

    I think Ramsey or Brooks if they come cheap are a great addition. Hopefully, as a backup. Can't get much better than that considering the situation we are in cap-wise.

    Obviously, they won't be making too many pro-bowl trips as Jets but they could be good to have around in case we draft a QB or least we say don't have another option. If we don't draft a QB, we may want to sign both if possible. It doesn't look like we have a shot in trading for Rivers now.

    I would rather have Ramsey over Brooks, if given the choice.

    exactly, i dont really care, clearly i have a preference but, i just DONT want to go into next seaosn planning on starting or even playeing (would be necessary for cutler) Vinny, Pennington, or Bollinger, i dont mind fiedler that much, especially since hes been around the players for a year

    neither of them would come as a backup

    remember at the middle of the season why ramsey asked to be traded? he wanted to start

    and brooks is too good to be a backup, remember, he did bring that team to the playoffs once. People tend to forget THEY ARE THE SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Um.. if Ramsey is so good, why did Brunell get the starting job?

    No thanks guys.. I'll take my chances with Cutler. We already know that Ramsey blows, even though WE did make him look good in that season opener a few years back....
