Where is Jonathan Harrison? He is a complete liability and impacting the entire game, why keep rolling him out there when Harrison was fine last week? Incompetence.
Short answer? Because we don't have anyone better. Longer answer? Because Macc and Bowles are bad at their jobs.
The announcers are correct. If you have a center who can't make a long snap, then it's Bates and Bowles fault for continuously using a shotgun. What are they fucking stupid? This has been going on for three games now and today it's disgraceful. Put Darnold under center and stop the longsnaps.
It's literally the only thing that makes sense and gives any semblance of why Harrison isn't out there. Dude, we have a backup center that played well just last week. I no shit have NEVER seen anything quite like this. I'm losing my Fucking mind!
This could be a blessing in disguise because continuing to use shotgun snaps is the type of thing that the media will jump all over possibly get Bowles fired. The media will be killing him all week.
They can’t even snap the fucking football. Other teams are putting up video game numbers every week on offense. ... and our Jets can’t even snap the football properly
Why is this guy getting paid near top 10 at his position anyway? Should've just signed Richburg for a couple million more.
So they make the change on the final drive of the game but not before? Got it - that makes complete sense. Bowles is a genius!!
Better thread :why is Bowles and Bates still on the Sidelines running this rot? Starts at the Management
This will go down as one of those games that public perception and box score will say it was all because of Darnold, and he wasn't good but there's so much blame to go around. - Long should've never got the start - Kearse looks like a completely different guy than he did last year - Shell got beat like a drum repeatedly - Crowell did his slip'n slide act per usual - And Bates... I defended this guy. I thought Q and Robby looked fine, Herndon certainly was, and McGuire. But this play calling was so uncreative and transparent I think outside of Bowles allowing Long to stay on the field this is by far where the majority of the blame should go
I'm livid that they had Spencer Long in there at all. If you're going to play him, put him at Guard with that finger. Otherwise, run with Harrison who can actually snap the ball.
