    Calling all college ball fans.

What players in the upcoming draft seem especially built for the 3-4?

Everyone's favorite is LaMarr Woodley from Michigan. He would be a perfect fit for our D. The only problem is whether or not he will last to #26.

Other than him, I'm not too familiar with any of the other OLB prospects

Ray McDonald's one of the guys I'd like to get. He could possibly be their in the second round when we use or first second round pick. Him and Woodley in the first two rounds would be a big lift to the defense.

Jay Alford from PSU as an End-- 6'3" 280- fast, gets in the backfield. Led team in sacks with 8.5 I believe. Amazing for a DT, especially in the Big Ten. Dominated in the Tennessee game too- he really is good, and seems to have the right size/speed for the spot.

280 is not the right size for a 3-4 DT. Maybe DE, but not DT. That spot is more of a big guy that just eats up blockers, not a speed guy that picks up sacks

Woodley is the guy on my radar right now but it seems that everyone on the board is in disagreement on when he will go. Some think we could get him with our first seconds round pick and other like myself think the Jets may even need to trade up to get him.

    Perhaps you should read again...

Jay Alford from PSU as an End-- 6'3" 280- fast, gets in the backfield.

    I know what a 3-4 end is.

Good call, your post confused me a bit, saying "Jay Alford from PSU as an end" lead me to believe he was an end. Then you said "amazing for a DT" I thought you meant he would be a DT in the NFL.

Just a little misunderstanding, thanks for clarifying.
