It's not just unprofessional, it's poor sportsmanship. It's a terrible example for professional athletes to celebrate on the field at the expense of their opponents. I don't think the league should penalize guys for it but I'm frankly surprised that players who have been coached all of their lives don't have a clue about carrying themselves in a professional manner and treating their opponents with professional respect.
The first time I saw it was when the Jets scored that defensive TD against the Colts to start the game...then when the Colts tied it they did the same thing .....after that all of a sudden I see it happening in most of the games at some point...... Just a fad hopefully.....
