Depends, does he run the Jets like he does the Rangers? He doesn't give a shit about hockey and let's the hockey people run the team. Basketball he loves and thinks he knows about. So he goes behind his GMs back and trades the entire team for Camelo just to get it done now. While we get pissed at Woody for the thought that he may have wanted Favre or Revis

Some things would definitely be better. More than likely the new stadium would have been approved. Instead of riding bitch in the Jersey swamps. Dolan is a privileged NYC asshole. He would have managed to escape paying city taxes as well, just like he has for 30 years with MSG.

However, in regards to the actual team, we would probably be worse.

No, we'd have been and still would be worse off.

Johnson was the lesser of two evils.

Fuck Dolan. If he bought the Jets I would riot. I could see him tossing Joe Namath out of a game for swearing at him.

To be fair, Woody has a salary cap and MLB does not. Granted they don't have to spend to cap, but there is a minimum spending requirement over a few years. In the NFL you almost have to spend to cap to be competitive. In MLB, owners can spend as much or as little as they want, since it directly affects their profits. Personally I feel baseball should impose a cap.

The luxury tax threshold is a defacto cap. The Yankees and Dodgers are trying to cut payroll even though both teams have a ton of money to spend.

The luxury tax is certainly not a defacto cap. The Yankees have lived above that threshold most years. Blown by it. Now that George's son wants to maximize revenue doesn't mean it's a hard cap like football operates under
