Giants continue to implode, Miami botched and lost a very winnable game (very Bowlesesque). Small consolation, but I'll take it. Bills beat Jax, so that's a bummer. What pisses me off the most is that Jax looked great against the Jets (what else), Bortles looked like Montana against us (what else), and now they're in the crapper. Unreal. EDIT: Ooops, I should've kept this in Week 12. I think. Moderator please merge if you think that's where this belongs. Sorry. I muffed the punt.
In actual week 13 discussion, the Saints visit the 'this fucking team again!?' Cowboys. I swear to christ if this team, which has previously looked unstoppable, rolls over and plays dead against Dallas and I have to look at Jerry Jones' and Jason Garrett's smiling faces again, I'm going to stab the tv. Remind me why this team traded for Eli Apple.
Cowboys with the amazingly strong defensive game against the Saints. And on a crucial 3rd down in the fourth quarter Beasley is a full yard short, but the Saints have no challenges left and can't get it overturned.
But they do call the blatant and idiotic roughing the passer penalty to keep the Cowboys drive alive.
Pretty damn good game. Prescott gets sacked and fumbles, Brees comes right back with a terrible pick. That should do it.
Really excellent play call. With the 2 minute warning coming you lose nothing by passing; throw it back shoulder to the end zone and hope for either a touchdown or a penalty. End up getting pass interference, game is over. As Aikman notes, Payton might have outsmarted himself by calling the timeout before the 2 minute warning and giving the Cowboys a free pass play.
Nice win by Dallas. Pretty poorly officiated game but overall Dallas and NO played some D and Dallas was better at the point of attack on both sides of the ball. Nice to see that if you win at the point of attack you still win in the NFL.
That was a nice win by Dallas. If Wash beats Philly on Monday that division could be over. No way a Colt McCoy led team is winning that division.
Dallas' Defense is really, really fast and built to beat teams like the Saints, Chiefs, Eagles, predicated on speed. I wish we had a defense like that. If they get their offense going they could make a run in that NFC
Dallas D is a top tier rush defense especially playing at home. I agree on the speed. They need work in the secondary still, but if your elite rush defense can put in you a bunch of 3rd and 8 situations, you make the opponent offense a lot more predictable.
Vander Esch, LB from Boise State, making a real impact in his rookie year. Meanwhile we're still wondering what kind of player Darron Lee is going to end up being in his third year
