I'll try to hold down the fort unless DaBallhawk shows up Day 5 was by all accounts the only bad day for the quarterbacks. Might have had to do with an influx of installs on the offensive and defensive sides; Bowles said on Sunday that only 30-40% of each playbook had been put in. Let's see if they can rebound today. Stretching starts at 1:50, practice at 2:20, as always. Note: Jets open preseason a week from tomorrow.
Taking it slowly with Mo Muhammad Wilkerson with the bucket hat on during stretches. Looks like he'll be with trainers again today. #NYJ
Just wondering what you guys think, not trying to start anything negative, cuz Wilk is one of my favorite Jets. But do you guys think he's sitting out on practice because he's not getting a deal, or do you think it's really just precautionary for his hammy? I remember Revis used to do this to us. When he wasn't holding out he would seemingly milk a minor injury like a tweaked hamstring or something to skip out on practice because he wasn't getting the deal he wanted.
Was a bit late today but I'm good to go now. Vickerson, Posey, Brown, Ridley also not in pads and won't practice.
Powell, Graham, Hakim, Owusu getting KR reps for #Jets. Bilal Powell, Richardson getting reps as up-men. Mike Westhoff watching special teams in action.
First its highly doubtful he is milking it, if he had a problem with the contract issue he just would have held out Second you have no proof that Revis ever milked an injury because of his contract situation
If Wilkerson was going to hold out he would have held out. He's clearly a team first guy unlike Revis and they're just taking this injury recovery process slowly as they should be with a hamstring injury.
Chris Ivory, while #Jets are working specials, is over in the rehab area stretching with the walking wounded. He's only one there in pads Darrelle Revis is off to the side showing Demario Davis a coverage technique
Richardson and Damon Harrison are having some fun waiting for drill to change. Sheldon working his Bball post moves with post-fade on Damon. TJ Graham certainly can fly. When he gets going, I'm not sure many can catch him. He's got nice wheels.
Saalim Hakim just had a drop in a quarterback-receiver drill. He's fast and plays well on special teams, but his hands are suspect.
