We are in rebuilding mode. There has got to be a market for some of our established and possibly expensive veterans (who may or may not need to take a pay cut for their new team). What if anything do you think we could get for each of these players? Derrell Revis CB Muhammad Wilkerson DE Sheldon Richardson DE / OLB Nick Mangold OC Ryan Clady LT Brandon Marshall WR Eric Decker WR Matt Forte RB David Harris ILB Marcus Gilchrist FS Buster Skrine CB For the purposes of this thread I am not concerned with whether or not we keep any of these guys. I just want to talk market value. If you think any of them needs to take a pay cut (whether they stay or go) that would also be relevant.
Derrell Revis CB Nothing Muhammad Wilkerson DE 4th rounder Sheldon Richardson DE / OLB 4th rounder Nick Mangold OC Nothing Ryan Clady LT a kicking tee Brandon Marshall WR a deflated football Eric Decker WR 5th rounder Matt Forte RB Nothing David Harris ILB Nothing Marcus Gilchrist FS Nothing Buster Skrine CB Nothing
Given Mo's contract and Decker's injury I would think that Brandon Marshall would get us more in a trade than either of them. Also I don't know that I want us to trade these guys eithin the division. I would think that if we are getting a deflated football that New England would be the source of said football.
This is mostly a suckers list of the walking wounded or overpriced commodities .........Well you know what they say there is one born every minute
If a team is willing to give you a 2020 conditional seventh round pick or their backup punter for one of your guys. that guy is an asset. I would think that Leonard Williams would be worth at least one of each.
What you guys think its the real trade value of Calvin Pryor and Sheldon Richardson? Because i dont see teams giving more then a 3rd round pick for them.
I was being facetious. I hope that you're just using Williams as an example. There's no way the Jets should even consider moving Williams.
I used our most valuable asset (Williams) in my example to make a point. Unless multiple first rounders or a significant player (Vic Beasley, David Carr, etc,) is available there is no benefit to trading him away.
So why arent we moving those players right now? if you belive thats their value and they dont represent significant value on the roster rather go younger
