Don't look now but Mean Machine is making a comeback hmy: Problem he could face is that it is about to be too much of a blowout, what a shame
While hopefully forgetting the events of last week this week's match-ups: #6 Mile High Jets vs. #1 Easton Red Rovers #5 Pocono MSUJet vs. #2 Riverside Renegades In case you didn't see it, I changed it to reflect the NFL style.
I think it'll be tough for me to win another big matchup on the road. Maybe at home I'd have had a shot.
Interesting start in my game - Scheffler and Marshall put up decent points - 37 combined. Rosenfels managed 20 for Red Rovers. So far, so good for both teams.
Lucky? Somebody sounds a tad bitter! I've benched Pat Williams in fear of negative points tonight, so that's my miracle run complete. Anything that happens next week is gravy. Have to say I was stunned to face an 11-2 (or was it 10-3) team in the semis and see them starting Sage Rosenfels! Sadly for them, he was their best player. Don't think I don't know that my WRs are the key players - you'll note I left Brandon Jacobs on the bench to accommodate them all.
Also, damned fortunate that Braylon Edwards is a STUD. But then, you may call that forward planning seeing as how I've had him on my roster since he was a rookie!
1. I beat you 2 out of 3 weeks.(I beat you this week just about despite no roster changes) 2. You are up 10, it's impossible for a defense player to get negative points, if he fumbles then he must of gotten the ball some how which in most cases would give him -1 at worst but then the NFL record for fumbles is 7 by 1 guy and I freaking doubt the Bears some how fumble 10 times and your guy recovers it 10 times then fumbles and loses it 10 times. 3. Red Rover was destined to lose, they would of lost last week too.(67.5 total vs 4 100+ point efforts) 4. That's just dumb on your part, you cannot tell me a small, speedy WR playing in snow/sleet(Welker) was going to outscore a big bruising RB(Jacobs). /end rant:grin:
Heh. 1. It was last week that mattered. 2. Better safe than sorry. 3. Dunno, he had a lot more wins than me on the season. 4. I'll take Brady's receivers vs. the Jets over almost anyone. I was also hoping for the reverse benefit of cursing him!! Plus Jacobs is always liable to play a quarter and then get hurt.
Heh, looking at the lineups, I have ZERO chance of winning this championship game unless Romo's thumb falls off.
haha, never say never my friend...I never would've though I'd see a player take a dive at the 1yd line. Thankfully that didn't come back and bite me in the ass. Best of luck.. (ps. this is a nice little re-match after I snuck out a win in the baseball keeper league. funny how things work out)
So if I lose this am I then officially the TGG all-sports Fantasy Keeper Second Best Player for 2007? At least I have one or two guys worth keeping for next year. 12 months ago I was struggling to find the 4 I needed.
No, no, no! 41 yard pass to Braylon ruled out for offensive PI. Jacobs and Edwards doing the do for me, Kitna pulling the rug from under them. Was a good try. WP to the new champ.
Hmm, presuming Welker isn't involved again I'm up by 4 points after the early games. Renegades have Clinton Portis and Chris Chambers to play later. I have Pat Williams tonight and then Brandon Marshall and Tony Scheffler on Monday Night. This one will go to the wire.
