Either when we are out of the playoff mix or when Mccown gets hurt, if not week 1 2019. Should have been able to select multiple answers.
If he proves he's the best QB in camp right away he should start week 1. One thing I learned from the Buttfumble disaster is how f'n useless these so called 'mentor' QBs are. McCown is a never won anything in his career LOSER. Stop treating this bum like he's some old sage with wonderful pearls of wisdom to bestow upon Darnold. May the best man win. NO CODDLING THIS TIME.
I voted the last couple weeks of the year, but I think he could start as early as half way through. Extremely unlikely he starts week 1.
Agreed but doubt a 20 year Old is gonna just come in and take over a roster w/4 other "Veteran" QB's. If he does, I'd be ecstatic!! Just being a realist here
If he's as good as advertised why not? I remember Peyton Manning starting his entire rookie year Indianapolis went 3-13 ther best win came against our 1998 Jets. Let experience be Darnold's best teacher IF he proves he's the best QB in camp enough with let him sit learn from the mentor GARBAGE. Why do you think the NFL put Jets @ Browns in primetime in week 3 they want Darnold vs Mayfield.
Yeah because McCown, Petty (if he's even on the roster), Hackenberg (see Petty) and Bridgewater (if he's healthy enough to even get on the field) are mission impossible to beat out for Darnold.
Absolutely yea, there's a very good chance he can emerge the starter. It'll come down to McCown+1. Teddy might not pass the physical, Petty/Hack may be traded or released.... Not a reach that there's a chance for it. ..Just not gonna happen.
I’ve got McCown getting hurt on the short week against the Browns then Darnold starting week 4 with 10 days to prepare
Not making much of a point here, but his birthday is in June. He'll be able to buy a beer before he's able to play a regular season game. Or a whiskey!
