If they gave him narcan, even though its half life is rather short, it wouldve fixed an opiate overdose. He woulda been fine. The effect dont disappear and then come back. He had to have gotten high again. He may have been on prescription pain meds and thats probably what did him in. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Amazingly talented and iconic figure -- much in the likes of David Bowie. For all his fame and accolades, probably still very underrated for someone so diverse and talented. 1999 and Purple Rain were huge when I was in high school, some very formative years. To think besides all of the stuff he recorded on his own he wrote: All of the material for "The Time" - the rival band in Purple Rain (Jungle Love, The Bird etc.) Nothing Compares 2u - Sinead O'Conner Manic Monday - The Bangles Stand Back - Stevie Nicks Glamorous Life - Sheila E And much more. Truly a genius. RIP
I saw a tweet last night it said.... Playing guitar better than everybody else was so easy for Prince.... that he decided to become a pop star instead.
That's one of the most terribly written excerpts I've ever read... and I read this board a lot... I think it'll be a while before we find out the actual legitimate cause of death that's not speculative. RIP to an amazingly talented figure. I can't say I remember much about him other than hearing his hits played. Mark Jackson said he could supposedly play every instrument. If that's true, that's pretty amazing.
RIP- what a talent. That guitar solo at the George Harrison tribute is one of my favorites. Love this little diddy. This is a great great story and video: _
Prince was a studio gym rat; knew everything, and was a multi-instumentalist (Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, Steve Winwood, John Fogerty, Trent Reznor, Sufjan Stevens, Paul Rogers, Dave Grohl, etc.). Rest in peace little giant. Need to develop a Keith Richards vaccine.
That's exactly what prince did too. 27 instruments on one album I read recently. Albums still matter!
I don't know much of his stuff but know he was an influential artist. RIP. Been reading about his career, can't believe he had THIRTY NINE studio albums!
