Does anyone wish the Jets still had Rex Ryan? Through 26 games... Rex Ryan 17-9 2 playoff wins 1 Conference championship #6 defense, #13 offense (points) Team was on the way to another Conference championship game Todd Bowles 13-13 0 playoff wins 0 Conference championship #21 defense, #29 offense (points) Team on it's way to a 5-11 season -------------------------------- I feel like the more time that goes by the more respect people should have for Rex. It's clear that the last few years were not all on him. Idzik TRASHED the team. Took away all the talent and left Rex with a corpse to win with. I really don't think even Belichick could have won with the crap Idzik gave Rex to play with those last 2 years. Thoughts?
I wouldn't call Rex terrible. Undisplined? Sure. Blowhard? Yes. Terrible? nah. Give him talent and he has shown what he can do with it.
You should really see a shrink for that condition. There's no way I'd ever want Rex back or respect that buffoon.
No, it was time for him to go. His act had grown tired and not even a complete doofus like Woodrow is giving him to another GM...
I'd sooner be shot in the groin with a flaming arrow than have that idiot back. I needed months of therapy after they resigned him in 2012.
Rex isn't a terrible coach. Flawed, yes. Terrible, No. I think Bowles is an idiot based on his recent decision to start Fitz. I'm not someone that turns on people, I'm a sunshiner for the most part but I've had it with Bowles. I can't stand to continue to watch this guy make the dumbest decisions possible for this team. It's disgusting to watch.
No not at all - Rex had to go he had run his course here. At the time, I kept referring to that most first time Superbowl winning coaches in the last 30 years do so within the first 5 years with that team which happened again with Kubiak and the Broncos. I just wish we didn't hire Bowles. Said it at the time, of all the names being floated around he was the bottom of my list, even below Marrone. I couldn't even explain why when asked, just a gut feeling. I was in favor of Quinn at the time.
Another poster was saying that Quinn might get fired too. According to that poster, his D is 28th ranked and it's Shanahan's offense that has the Falcons winning.
Some of Rexs defenses literally would shut the other team down to the point where they couldnt do anything.Bowles defenses havent come close to that.I feel like Rex is a much better defensive coach then Bowles will ever be but there both flawed head coaches.
I'm totally convinced the Bills are on track to win a super bowl under the current leadership. No doubt in my mind.
Don't worry a few years after Bowles is fired, people will be reflecting back and wishing he was still here, cause the next HC woody hires will be be a even bigger Douche bag.

I guess you have forgotten the fact that Rex's last 4 seasons here were ALL non-winning, including 6-10 and 4-12 in two of last three. He only made the playoffs in 2009 because caldwell pulled manning from the 2nd half of the season finale with the colts ahead. BOTH Rex and Bowles suck as a coach IMO. Not sure, though, which is more irritating--Blowhard Rex bragging up nobodies like Clyde Gates and Dexter McDougle or monotone zombie Bowles sticking with WORST RATED QB in the league who has no future with jets. Dumb dips.
