    ...maybe.

Strong rumor take over Bob Suttons position as the Defensive coordinator for the Chiefs.

    I like it.

    What a title..

Yeah i heard this a few hours ago. I would be very happy for him.

Replace a former Jet coach that downright sucks for a former Jets coach that will really help a defense.

Interesting. I may have a new team to support in future Januaries.

I like this for the Chiefs.
They need some more defensive talent tho. Secondary sucks and the front can't stop the run.

Rex Ryan is finally making the right decisions and being patient, hopefully it pays off for him.

Remember he would have been the Atlanta head coach if he was just patient. If he turns the Kansas City defense around, beats the Patriots in the playoffs (again), and helps Reid win his first Super Bowl title, surely he will get another head coaching job, however he best wait for the right team and just not take the first offer that gets given to him.

It makes sense for the Chiefs. They need to drastically improve that defense, they couldn't stop a nosebleed in OT.

Rex won't solve the problem. KC D was completely gassed down the stretch of that game. 3 and out's along with 5 play scoring drives put the Chiefs D on the field for 40 plus minutes. D Ford was so gassed he couldn't even line up on sides on one play. KC should have used some timeouts on D in some of those third and longs. That's the HC's decision and Reid failed to do it. Rex had some great defenses but they were coupled with run the ball TOP eating offenses that allowed him to have fresh bigs on D to get after the QB. The Pats did an amazing job of softening up the Chiefs pass rush late in the game.

When he took the Buffalo job at his opening press conference he said "this is my last job. If I fail here, I'm not gonna become someone's coordinator or whatever. I understand this is my last stop and thats why I've come here to win"

    :rolleyes::rolleyes:

but at least he didn't have ugly bug eyes, AM I RIGHT

Rex is literally wrong about most things, including linking himself to every coaching job in the NFL and college.

Rex Ryan's middle name is Ashley, just like that fruit Ashley Wilkes in 'Gone With the Wind'. What was this about again? Rex Ryan is back. Right.

Rex Ryan really toned down his bluster since his firing in Buffalo. Since he went into broadcasting, all I kept noticing was that he was very complimentary towards almost every coach/organization in football. It was very obvious to me that he was being very careful not to burn any bridges because he wanted to work again. He'll land somewhere. DC, good, HC that may never happen again.

    Andy should retire.

Scapegoating Sutton after HIS offense came out and got shut out/less than 40 yards of total offense in the first half. Yuck!!!!

The odds of Mahomes coming close to duplicating the season he just had aren't good. I think the league will figure him out soon enough he holds onto the ball a long time, slow release. This isn't another Peyton Manning.

Andy missed his window. It's over for him.

Andy didn't miss his window, his window is still open, it will be a lot harder however. Mahomes won't replicate this season, and the whole league will bring it when they play the Chiefs.

I don't see it happening for him.

The Colts seem to be building their team the right way around Luck now. They'll be a force. The Jets, Browns & Bills could become forces if their QBs prove to be the real deal and the teams make the right moves.

Gruden is going to get a QB.

And he's already proven he can't beat Belichick in the playoffs.

This was his year it was all set up perfectly for him.

    And he choked.

Reid's window rests on Mahomes. He doesn't smell the championship game without Mahomes carrying the team. He also left his D out to dry in OT. He let the Pats drive the field for 5 minutes with 3 3rd and 10's and didn't call one of his 2 TO to give his D a blow after being on the field for almost 40 minutes.

There's plenty of tape on Mahomes, doesn't matter one lick. He's a playmaker. Reid has to figure out that sometimes you need TOP, field position and defense to win.
