    The book of Exodus is a history book, describing the departure of the Israelites from Egypt. It describes the oppression of the Egyptians and the harsh laws of the time (one of which you cited). It goes on to describe their miraculous deliverance by God through Moses. It's a book of hope, showing how God saved his people from the kind of oppressive society that you referenced.

    You continue to be a joke. Nowhere did it state that another 30% of leading scientists said anything like what you said. The part I quoted was referencing a study which completely invalidated your 40% figure.

    Wanting god to exist and thinking too much was what made me realize that he doesn't exist.

    You are a liar; you disproved nothing. And I provided you quotes from sources from your own church that said when you lie about such things you are committing a mortal sin. So don't go telling us how wonderful it is to follow the catholic church and then break their own rules. You'll burn in the fires of hell forever.

    Uh oh. There is a special place for people like Untruth. Gawd doesn't like liars and sinners, but I know a red guy in a very hot place who does.

    Deuteronomy-12-16- just for you

    12 If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,

    13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

    14 Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;

    15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.

    16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

    How spiritual. How gloriously inscrutable.
    You must kill everyone in that city, even the cattle, and then burn it to the ground. oh and by the way, "thou shall not kill" right? Theres nothing to be taken out of context here, these are directives from a scared, shallow, profoundly stupid fraud god of the desert named yahweh.
    eagerly awaiting how im supposed to have read this from you Truth

    Ok, I'm bored today, so I'm going to humor you.

    Woohoo! Quote mines and appeal to authority fallacy all wrapped up in a neat little package. So cute. It's like a 5 year old trying to prove that Santa exists. "But but but mommy said so!"

    Is it right or wrong? Part of culture, yet god doesn't take a stand against it? Why not?

    GTFO. How is that abuse of women, when they CHOOSE to become porn stars?

    First off, science does not claim anything like "nothing comes from nothing". Science only deals with what can be confirmed or verified via testable predictions. Science does not know where everything came from, however, the laws of physics say energy cannot be created or destroyed, that seems like a good argument AGAINST creation, rather than for it. How can one create something that cannot be created? I'd be interested in your answer to this. If you assume that all energy and matter had to come from god, then you have to explain where god came from. Did he come from nothing? It sure sounds like it.

    You directly contradicted yourself here. A dense singularity is not "nothing" it is SOMETHING.

    Yes, that is how science sounds to somebody that is not an expert on the subject (or knows next to nothing, in your case).

    First, there's this thing called gravity. Have you read any of the scientific theories or hypotheses about this? Just because science doesn't have the answers to everything in the universe doesn't mean god did it. I'm a Deist myself but you are convincing me to become an atheist because your arguments are so terrible.

    You have failed to understand entropy. Entropy applies to the universe AS A WHOLE. It can only apply to closed systems. Earth is not a closed system, is it open because it actively gains energy from the sun. You seem to think entropy has to apply to everything in the universe equally at the same time, but it's really just the principle that energy will eventually all burn out.

    We don't know what started it all. Maybe quantum fluctuations, maybe membrane theory has it right. In the empty void of space, where did god come from? You see god doesn't answer the question, it only creates MORE questions.

    Does it even matter? Since when does having a large amount of believers prove something to be correct? You keep citing false stats as if they prove something. The majority can be wrong.

    If Exodus is a "history book" then why do the Egyptian records show absolutely nothing about this alleged exodus or even keeping Jews as slaves? Children's bedtime stories, nothing more. Sorry that you have been duped.

    Nobody ever said that organized religion hasn't done good things. However, catholic priests fuck way too many boys, and that cancels out any good that religion does.

    Yeah, I know, you say it has been debunked that preists are pedophiles. The only problem with that statement, is that's it's wrong. Priests fuck little boys.
