They lived their lives based on the philosophy that death via combat was the most honorable way to die and the only sure way to get to "heaven," and the best way to expand their civilization was to kill everyone else and take their valuables. They killed tons of Christians in their quest for expansion, men women and children. If only there was as much opposition and outrage from the Christian community about that name as there is for the scientific theory of evolution. I mean, how is that not offensive? Might as well have a team called the terrorists.

Vikings were so tough that they were specifically hired as an elite guard (the Varangian Guard) to protect Byzantine emperors (those most holy Christian Crusaders) in the 900s by Basil II (200 years into the Viking Age) and kept being hired for 500 years. So many strong Viking warriors enlisted in the VG that Swedes wrote into law that no VG enlistee could inherit while enlisted in The Guard. Christians apparently hated Vikings, eh? But to that point, you're right about the "terrorists" part, since our own country has likely employed exponentially more "terrorists" than have actually committed acts of "terror" against our most righteous and holy country.
