Yes we don't allow politics to be discussed but one of the great Americans lost his life and we should be able to express our feelings. R.I.P McCain. You were a good man. No, you were a great man. You will be missed. Thanks for all you did for this great country. May God rest your soul.
He was an amazing man and a true patriot and hero. He would have made a great President but he was nominated at the wrong time. Can't say I agree with him 100% especially on social issues but his foreign policy was 100% spot on and he was always correct on the current President. RIP Brother.
The writing was on the wall a couple of days ago that he was near the end. Brain cancer is a terrible way to go. Scratch that. All cancer is. It's almost always beyond excruciating pain-wise for the dying person and excruciating emotion-wise for friends and loved ones. We've all seen it and wished we hadn't. RIP.
I'm glad he didn't allow the doctors to turn him into Frankenstein with all the tubes and terminals blinking and buzzing. Nothing like seeing a loved one turned into a science project. Chemo might be the worst effect of Cancer short of possible death.
A hero who served his country and had the courage to reach across the aisle instead of constantly pointing fingers like we see today in DC. I didn't agree with him on everything, but I respected him. He will be missed.
Ha, everyone does it. It's like that part in 'Scream' when the "killer" asks who the murderer was in Friday the 13th. "Jason!" Wrong, it was Mrs. Voorhees. I love the rifle stock hit to the crotch she gets in that movie to this day, btw. Yes, I shrieked in the movie theatre, what else.
Rest in Peace to the great John McCain. I am not a fan of politics or discussing them, but I always liked and respected McCain. He was one of the good ones. One of the old timers. We are losing all of those guys now. It's sad. They are not replaceable.
Taking note of an eight year old article without showing a response, if any, from McCain certainly leaves the story incomplete.
McCain's 106 year old mother, Roberta - who has all of her marbles - will be attending his memorial service in D.C. My Grandma was in her early 90's when my Mom died and I thought THAT was impressive. 106, imagine living that long let alone with a better than decent quality of life? She did have a fairly recent stroke but she's still way with it. I bet all of the people that she ever knew growing up are all dead. I feel bad for her, just like I did for my Grandma. We used to have a patient years ago who was 98, eccentric, still driving, the whole bit. She buried four children (all from the ages of 60 - 75) and she said, "The worst part of growing old is outliving the people you love." Burying a child is not the natural order of things no matter the age. RIP once again, John McCain.
You would have thought McCain was a head of state yesterday. His funeral was quite the tribute to perhaps the last politician of his kind. Everybody who was anybody was there to pay tribute. Eulogies were well thought out and delivered. Great optic for all the Ex-POTUS's. Today is the burial and I hope the media just lets the McCain clan do this privately. No need to cover this to the extreme after yesterday. JMO
