    Season thread. Let's go.

$90M on the DL to start the year.

    vs Red Sox
    Gm 1 Loss 8-2
    Gm 2 Kuroda vs Bucholz
    Gm 3 Pettitte vs Dempster

We are weak and shitty right now but the Red Sox aren't that good either. Could still see us taking next two games.

CC starting off the season shitty as usual. Besides Cano there is no threat in the current lineup IMO.

As much as I hate the Sox, they showed a lot of energy in yesterday's opening game. Victorino fits them perfectly, and the rookie Bradley Jr. stole the show. But it is a long season and we definitely need to get healthy fast.

I'm expecting Gardner to have a huge year. Kuroda, Pettitte, and Logan are key to salvaging the season. Rivera obviously most important.

I'm intrigued about seeing Romine, Ronnier Mustelier and Melky Mesa down the line (potentially). Maybe even Almonte if injuries pile up and he does well in AAA

Gettin' trounced here in the 7th. Kuroda left in 2nd inning with finger injury but was gettin shelled before. Not a good game.

Pettitte pitched a great game. Rivera got the save despite allowing a hit, a walk, and a run.

Pettitte with a gem, he's such a smart pitcher. Good to avoid the sweep.

Upcoming series vs DET starts tmrw afternoon.

    Gm1 Nova vs Fister
    Gm2 Phelps vs Scherzer
    Gm3 Sabathia vs Verlander

Pettitte has some amazing stats when he's pitching to prevent a sweep. They mentioned them on the air. He's like 18-3 now with an ERA of around 3.

Time to see if Phelps got any stamina and can make it out of the fifth inning.

    Glad to have Hughes back.

Losing Nunez sucks. He's been productive at the end of the order.

Why would anyone ever be glad to have Hughes back? The best part of this season is its Hughes'last year with the Yankees. Gutless, useless cunt.

 perhaps. But he blows and his Yankee career was a gigantic disappointment. Last year, our door prize was Swisher's exit. This year its Hughes'.

Yankees get to Verlander. Jayson Nix 3/4 with a HR, Sabathia with first win of the year. Nicely done.

Next @Cleveland for 4 starting tmrw

    Gm1 Kuroda vs Jiminez
    Gm2 Pettitte vs Carrasco
    Gm3 Nova vs Myers
    Gm4 Hughes vs McAllister
