I'm usually getting slammed for being overly optimistic, but I must say it's tough to get too excited for this game. -Even if we win....the team we are playing is so terrible that it won't feel like progress -Our rookie QB is not on the field -Our record keeps us out of playoff contention.....but not bad enough to get ownership to boot some coaches out of the building I guess I would be happy to see Herndon have a good game and for some of the young guys on D to get production.... Give me something to get excited about will ya!
You’re justified for not caring about this game at all. If you truly are the overly optimistic type, go take a look at the AFC playoff picture. If the Jets win and the Saints hold serve against Cincy, the Jets would be 1 win behind the 6 seed. Idk how anyone in their right mind can think this team has a shot at the playoffs, but there’s the silver lining for the optimists. The silver lining for the pessimists is that a loss to Matt Barkley would probably seal Bowles’ fate.
Years ago, when we were STHs, my friend and I went to the last home of another miserable the season. As we put away the grill, and started walking toward the stadium, he found a ticket on the ground. He waved it over his head yeliing, "Free ticket!" the whole way there, and nobody took it. That's what this feels like, except we're only halfway through the season.
I get the feeling that the Jets players want Bowles gone, based on the effort and execution today. At this point, I am all for letting Bowles go tomorrow.
How's that 2 year extension looking now Mr. Johnson? I wouldn't have given Bowles a 2 minute extension. This team is playing as bad as I've ever seen and I was around for the Kottite years. I just hope this expedites Bowles exit far away from this team.
never, ever assume anything that makes sense where this team is concerned. fan since 1965, in mourning/therapy mostly since 1970.
