http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-mayock-a-strong-candidate-for-raiders-gm-job Mayock has interviewed and is said to be the favorite to land the Raiders GM position.
Wow...he will having some great Pressers ..with Gruden it will sound like an Infomercial ahahahahah Gruden will have the real power ..Rookie Mayock will just be his Statistcs nerd..just watch Believe it or not this might work..hmm
Does this mean I can watch the 2019 Draft on NFL Network without him addressing the camera like John Cena about a 7th round RB out of Georgia Southern?
wow.....not too minimize mayocks knowledge but this tells u just how shallow the pool is for these GM positions.
I think some fans have a better eye for talent than some of these NFL people. Mayock could be successful he seems passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. He can evaluate talent that's a given and key to the job but he also has to build a TEAM a cohesive unit with parts that complement each other and do everything else a GM must do to be successful besides evaluate talent, pick players etc. That's one thing that angers me about the media hyping up MacCagnan the "football guy" they act as if collecting talent (top 10 picks) is all there is to the job. MacCagnan has failed miserably at building a winning football TEAM.
After the Jets, second favorite AFC team was always the Raiders... Mayock has to get along great with John Gruden or else he would never sign up for this....maybe he told him he loved those Bridgestone Tire commercials Gruden was doing ahahahahahah FTRMR for this to happen MM must know his role is really subordinate ...Mayock must have been bored with the Draft thing year after year and doesn't care. This job has more juice for him
Mayock sucks at assessing talent, he is simply a talking head on NFL network. He regurgitates the same information about the top 20 players in the draft. Mel Kiper on the other hand can talk about any player taken in any round, he does his homework on hundreds of players and it shows during the draft. Raiders are becoming a joke under Gruden.
After the year they just had there's only one way to go. I think they're gonna make Oakland elite again once they finish putting their stamp on the team.
