Okay, I was all set to excoriate Heilman for giving up the tying run (as I figured he would), but that just isn't fair.
And Heilman continues to have ridiculously bad luck. Edit: and Gary was right - Reyes misplayed that.
"the ball stayed fair and it felt very foul for the mets" what a terrific play on words by the great one, gary cohen.
Atlanta scored two in the 8th to tie the game against the Marlins. It's now in the top of the 10th. (If this was announced during the game, sorry - I missed it.) Should be one more batter and then pretty much be all over.
Well, maybe the good thing that could come out of this would be the Mets destroying the king of all assholes, Brett Myers.
That would be good because the Mets could beat on the Cubbies or Brewers in the NLDS. Them beatin' on the Cubs would be a great joy for me.
Maybe 'cause the Mets just want to end the game and drink some beer. They figure even if the Phillies win 3 games in this series, they won't catch the Mets anyway.
