Listening to Max Kellerman on Michael Kay Show say it will be ugly fast KO for Floyd anytime he wants. Logic dictates boxer will win, it would be a massacre the opposite way in the octagon.

Ali fought a kick boxing pro wrestler in a non-title bout--don't see why this is impossible.

Ali-Inoki was a disaster. It's a perfect example of why Mayweather and McGregor shouldn't fight each other.

In Japan, in the 70's, just a bit less restrictions on things with the year and location than you would have in the U.S. currently.

Definitely. Maybe I'm naive to the rules but what is the big road block? The fight will be $100 on PPV and will probably draw even more buys than the Pacquaio fight. I can't see anything standing in the way of it?

A friend of mine is very knowledge in the boxing world. He said McGregor stands absolutely no chance. As someone who is definitely not an expert (although I know some boxing), I tend to agree. After seeing him spar, McGregor's stance alone tells me he's going to get destroyed. His hands are way too far apart and I read an article of an interview with Teddy Atlas who said that many think his only chance is to attack in an all on assault in round one or two, but Mayweather's devastating counter punching ability will thwart those efforts.

    I'm still excited to watch.

If this fight did happen I need to know the answer to this question. I have been asking a bunch of my friends and no one can give me an answer. They say that McGregor and Floyd will start with $100m purses each. That leaves room for ticket sales and pay per view right? Then the UFC will need to get a cut of the pie for having McGregor signed under them. My question is, where does that $100m purse come from? Does it come out of the PPV? The ticket sales? If anyone knows the answer I would love to know.

It's going to be an ass whooping. Mayweather would love to go out on top with 50-0 record. That's just such a huge accomplishment, I don't think it's ONLY about the money for him. Nothing would please me more than seeing him knocked on his cocky ass, but I doubt it's even close.

Mayweather would destroy him. Just depends on whether Mcgregor is alright getting his ass kicked for a hefty paycheck (he might)

McGregor is shameless about money, he'd probably walk into a punch on purpose in the first round and walk away from MMA counting his 30mil purse.

Promoters usually pay the purse as far as I know.

You can google questions, my friend. ;)

I'm not so sure that these two walking into an honest fought would be Mayweather winning an honest fight.

Then again, I'm not too sure how many honest fights Mayweather has actually won.

    Boxing purists are innately stupid.

Mayweather has flaunted hundreds of times more money than it would take for some boxing douche to take a dive.

Sorry, Petro, but your favorite sport has always been the most corrupt one.

McGregor will dive early for ten times the purse that he'd ever get in MMA, then 5 years from now he'll fought in UFC out of shape and beat some fake douche, then the following fight he'll get his ass beat by a young contender.

Prize fighting has been fixed for so long... that it's a joke for anyone who considers themselves a "purist". You're just a sucker.

    "devestating" lol.

More like love taps. Maywheather wins because he's smart as hell. Boxing is about quantity over quality. Doesn't matter whether any punches you land do damage or have the strength of a 10 year old, every punch counts

So here it is, mayweather wants to fight in June. Will McGregor accept? My guess is yes he will.

I wish they could both somehow lose. A simultaneous knockout or something.
