Mawae update

    Kevin Mawae was just on Sirius NFL Radio and stated that (1) he was not one of the players to comment on Pennington and (2) any rumors about Mawae himself turning down the proposal of taking a paycut are false because he hasn't personally heard from the team.

    Hope so, I actually thought one of the quotes came from him. And he needs to take some kind of pay cut or reworking

    That is good news. In the midst of all the turmoil it is very easy for a lot of this mud and dog doo slinging to start. Unfortunately, that is another thing on Mnagini's plate to deal with.

    I hope so. He shouldn't have to rework his contract, and I want him to stay on the Jets.

    Mawae is one of the players I think we need to keep i hope will restructure

    if needed we may have to restructure but hopefully not, at the very least I want him to stay with us for the rest of his career
