I think with the signing of McCown it's obvious we are going to give Petty/Hack a shot to play this year. IMO it's also obvious we must trade out of 6 and try to add picks for next year maybe even trade Sheldon for picks next season instead of 2017.

If Petty and Hack prove they can't play we must have the ammunition to trade up next year to get Darnold or Rosen

With all the holes the Jets have, trading up should be the very last thing on Mac's mind, and then only to get a QB he covets.

 

i liked your post because apparently the rest of TGG is brain dead to the FACT the team is practically empty at MOST positions...

IMO there is NO QB worth trading up for ...nothing to covet here. Let them drop like a stone in all probability... NEXT year is the QB year

Trade DOWN (not UP) pick up a lot of meat and potato fill ins at OL CB TE OLB etc

Lol trading up for the top QB next year is likely not an option. If we want Darnold, we better be the best at tanking. The chances of any team trading away the opportunity to draft Darnold themselves is so beyond unlikely it's not worth discussing or planning for.

Trade down this year because we have holes throughout the roster, not for the pipe dream of trading up for Darnold next year.

We aren't going to have to try hard to tank. You see our schedule? We will probably go 0-6 in the division. Winnable games against Jax and Cleveland. But Cleveland is in a position to change their team with this draft.

 

We win 2 games the way I see it..someone on Cleveland takes a pick six the wrong way AHAHA
