45 years ago was 1972. In 1972 the Vietnam War was still going, Nixon committed the Watergate burglary, and the oil crisis was about to go down. Doesn't seem utopian to me.
Yes starting in late 70s 80s there were drug abusers Today players have graduated to wife abuse and other forms of violence Tell me it has not gotten worse??....doesn't look like its better
i am not ok with any jets fan referring to that guy as a former jet. hes a dollfag and always will be.
and people generally overlooked it back then. there werent cameras all over the place taking photos. i would believe that there were far more abused women back then there are now. we just live in a society that wants to punish people all the time. especially people with talent and those that set themselves apart from others physically. lots of hate, its kind of sad.
Joe Klecko was a 1st Team All-Pro at RDE and NT. There is no freaking way he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. It's an embarrassment to the NFL and to the voters who snubbed him.
I hate talking about Jets history, mainly because we haven't had much of a future since I have been on this planet. Still, congrats to LT. Whatever about Taylor, he's a Dolfag
Yeah exactly. There's no way T.O. is kept out of the Hall of Fame. Not voting him in on his first couple years is the writers pussy backhanded way of slapping him the face for being a dickhead his whole career. He's a top 5 receiver of all time at worst. I believe there's only been two receivers voted in on their first two years of eligibility. Jerry Rice is one and there's one more that I forget. Could be wrong but I believe I heard that stat on ESPN. And as far as Jerry Jones goes (as another poster mentioned him getting in)... Anyone who contributes as much money and revenue for the NFL will get in on that alone. It's funny seeing his list of accomplishments though for sure.
No doubt he was a pain in the ass, but his play on the field and his numbers justify him being in the Hall of Fame.
