Haha yeah they're complaining about a rookie who didn't have a training camp who was a year away from significant contributions even if he had had a full training camp. absurd. Also do people still not get the kerley situation? They're playing Decker in the slot. He dominates there. They also play Marshall in the slot. He dominates there. kerley cannot play on the outside very well. End of story
I'm not saying Devin Smith is a bust by any means. But to be playing him over Kerley at this point is retarded. Make him earn it.
It's not like Fitz can hit him if he gets open downfield anyway. Play Kerley, he fits into the offensive scheme.
He's one of our best options...he gets open and catches the ball better than anyone not named Decker or Marshall No reason why he shouldn't be the 3 at this point Also our lack of a Tight End option is glaring....Mac needs to get on the trade lines asap....Cunberland is God awful at this point
I can't blame Devin Smith all that much because on almost every play he is under thrown. He has to constantly comeback to the ball with the trailing defender in his way. If he was dropping passes, I would worry about him then.
I think (or at least hope) we'll see more of him after today. He's made his case for a shifty option underneath and out Pats'd the Pats on our first TD drive. Marshall and Decker can do it, but I feel Kerley gives a much needed outlet for a check down who can gets some YAC considering, at least to this point, we don't have a RB or TE that can provide that. Fitzy's lesser arm has largely negated the deep ball so we can use all we can get in the short-medium passing game.
According to Manish Mehta (maybe fake news) Kerley has been telling people that he expects to be disciplined for violating NFL rules. ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen will be featured more which is great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Minus that disaster of a fair catch on Sunday, Kerley has been great and especially for the vet minimum. But more importantly, yes, this would give Stewart and Hansen more snaps, which is more more important
Kerley is suspended and Josh Gordon is reinstated. Is our hole at receiver big enough that we go after this train wreck?
